Birmingham’s thriving food and cocktail scene continues to grow, and, this week will see the opening of The Lobby on Hill Street. Located under the City’s Holiday Inn, and withing a stones throw of Grand Central station, The Lobby on the Hill offers a mixture of vibrant street food dishes that are served tapas style, with an extensive range of cocktails that take you from the classic to the exotic and unusual. Last month saw the first birthday of Grand Central Birmingham, and one of its main retailers, the jewellers TH Baker, held a very special first birthday party at their store. Last week so the most glittering, glamorous party of the year in Birmingham. Style Birmingham magazine was celebrating 50 issues and 10 years with a glamorous shindig in the new Canalside venue. The champagne flowed, the music played and the food was deliciously naughty, and I was lucky enough to have an invite.
