Rudy’s Rare Records brings The Rep to its feet
A midweek standing ovation is a pretty rare thing, but that is what the hilarious ‘Rudy’s Rare Records’ got at the Birmingham Repertory Theatre last night. The superb comedy starring Lenny Henry had audiences on their feet with its mixture of warmth, laughter and Reggae, and is probably the only play I have ever seen where I have wished I had tickets for the following night. Yes, it is that good. Rudy’s Rare Records tells the tale of a dusty, musty record shop in Birmingham that has seen better and busier days, and is now under threat from developers who are buying up the street it stands on. Feasting at the Chef’s Table at Grill LaTour
An invitation to dine at the Chef’s table at one of my favourite Birmingham Hotels was the exciting proposition that dropped into my inbox a couple of weeks ago. Hotel LaTour has always offered fabulous fine dining in its Aalto restaurant, but the rebranding of the restaurant as Grill LaTour, with an emphasis on my very favourite food, succulent steak, was something for foodies(and me!) to get very excited about. Last Sunday, my family went along to enjoy a chocolate filled day at Cadbury World, and, as I sit here enjoying a Dairy Milk, I thought I would share our thoughts with you. Entry to Cadbury world is by time slot tickets, this means that…

Elizabeth Arden Beauty Event at Debenhams, Bullring
Anyone who knows me well, knows that I am a huge fan of Elizabeth Arden products. I am never without a tube of Eight Hour Cream, something I’ve used for everything from sunburnt shoulders, dry skin, cracked lips and even to put on cheekbones to accentuate them. This product from Elizabeth Arden is getting on for a hundred years old and is still just amazing. Last week I was invited to a beauty event and preview with Elizabeth Arden at the Debenhams situated in Birmingham’s Bullring. It was a lovely event – a chance to catch up with blogging friends and meet some new faces, an opportunity to try some…
