A day of relaxation at the Amala Spa
The Amala Spa is an oasis of calm in the middle of the busy city of Birmingham. Situated at the Birmingham Hyatt Regency Hotel, the day spa offers six, state of the art treatment rooms, as well as a fitness centre, swimming pool and steam rooms. Last week I was given some respite from the hustle and bustle of the school holidays when I experienced some of the treatments that the spa has to offer. I can honestly say I left the Amala Spa feeling totally renewed and invigorated. The Spa itself is beautiful, on walking down the steps and entering, you feel like you are in another world –…

The Bullring Bloggers Event
Last Thursday saw the first Bullring Bloggers event, which combined beauty, food and fashion previews for the coming season. The event was held in the hospitality suite hidden within the Bullring, and I was lucky enough to receive an invitation to what was a lovely evening of all my favourite things. The evening started with two style presentations. The first was a curl session from Umberto Giannini, with a focus on the latest Curl Friends products that have been such a big story this summer. The second session was taken by my lovely friend Elca Jeffers and looked at the new Autumn collections from Karen Millen, and, in particular, the…

Bathtime Luxury from 2 Moon Trading Co.
2 Moon Trading Co. are a Midlands based beauty company (Walsall to be exact), who are offering a range of beautiful, handmade pampering products at really affordable prices. The company has recently launched its new website and I was lucky enough to be sent a couple of sample products to try and test. It is safe to say that I have fallen in love with the brand and its ethos. The 2 Moon story is a really inspiring one. Founder Georga Duncan-Price had always loved handmade bath and beauty products, but found them to be too expensive. So in January 2013, 2 Moon Tracing Co. was born, offering luxurious, handmade…

Fabulous Food from Bun and Bowl
For foodies, Birmingham is becoming a really good place to enjoy delicious food, with lots of new eateries popping up, offering a wide array of cuisines that suit all tastes. One of the most recent to open is Bun and Bowl, which is located in the Iconic building that is ‘The Cube’. Bun and Bowl was launched in May and is a deluxe burger and shrimp restaurant. I was invited to the opening, but due to family commitments I couldn’t make it, so when I was asked if I would like to sample the menu I was really excited. And so, last Friday night, I took the hubby along to…

Moshi Monsters Weekend at The Sea Life Centre
One of my family’s favourite, all-weather attractions to visit in Birmingham is the National Sea Life Centre in Brindley Place. Home to all manner of deep-sea creatures, from Sharks to Stingrays, and all sorts of truly beautiful and unusual fish, the Sea Life Centre is the ideal place to add to your Summer Holiday must visit list, offering education and a whole lot of fun. This Summer the attraction is even more exciting due to the arrival of the Moshi Monsters. Katsuma, Poppet and Monstro City’s number one Moshling conservationist, Buster Bumblechops, are on a mission to save the amazing marine creatures that are housed in the Sea Life Centre,…
