Time for that dream home?
Many people chose to move house in Spring. New season, new start seems to be a good mantra, and it was one that I followed myself when we moved into our home, starting that search as the season changed. But for those who are happy to stay put, Spring can also be the perfect time for home improvements, the time when you can make your current home your dream home. A house is always a blank canvas that can be changed, extended and renovated to your own requirements. Homeowner loans from companies like Ocean Finance can release funds that will enable you to turn your current abode into the one…

Beefeater Spring Menu Review – Longford House
Beefeater have this week launched their spring menu, combining old favourites with new combinations and dishes. Last night I took my boys along to sample some of the new dishes and the hospitality of my local Beefeater Grill, which is situated in the beautiful Longford House in Cannock. Once again, we were impressed by the quality of the dishes, both in terms of presentation and flavour, and also really looked after in terms of service from all the staff. The new menu has specially selected dishes with a spring flavour. Healthy, lighter options are becoming more popular, and the Beefeater menu has taken this into account, adding a range of…

Never forget again with the ‘Must Remember That’ App
In our busy modern lives, we seem to have more and more things to remember. From birthdays, important work meetings, appointments and family and friend dates, we can often fill a diary or a notice board twice over. Add in special dates concerning our children and their schools (and my lad has a busier social calendar than I do with football matches, Birthday parties, school events and sports training), and you would have to have a mind of an elephant not to forget some of these things, leading to some embarrassing moments. That’s why I am so pleased with the ‘Must Remember that’ app, which supports the website you can…

If your kids are looking for action-packed girl power, look no further than DC Super Hero Girls. DC Entertainment’s latest animated series features a dynamic group of Super Heroes on their journey of discovering the power of their unique abilities and friendships. What I love is how dynamic the characters are, from strong and fearless to edgy and fun; there is a character for everyone. Your kids can now enjoy watching your DC Super Hero girls whenever…

Strada Kids Party at the Birmingham Mailbox
Half term week had a special treat for Joe and I when we were invited to a special party at Strada in the Birmingham Mailbox. It was a lot of fun, with pizza making and activity packs for the children, and Prosecco and fine food for the adults. The children also got the chance to try dishes from the Strada Squad menu, a menu that has been specially approved by a panel of children acting as taste testers. The day started with the pizza making session. Pizza bases and a range of toppings were provided and the children all had great fun designing their own pizza. Joe was really happy…
