How supplements help hair, skin and nails
When we are young, looking after our hair, skin and nails can sometimes seem like an afterthought. We go to bed still wearing our make-up and bite those nails as we worry about exams, boyfriends, money and our future. As for our hair, I lost count of the times I added dye of some kind, everything from bleach to spray in colours, never worrying about any damage this might do. When we are young, these things are just par for the course, and growing older seems such a long time in the future. But ageing is something that catches up with the best of us, and suddenly we need to…

The Body Shop VIP event with the Bloggers Parlour
Last Thursday I popped along to The Body Shop on Birmingham’s New Street to attend my first event with the Bloggers Parlour. It was a fabulous night of beauty, games and cocktails in a beautiful store that has just been refurbished and looks, quite frankly, amazing. The Bloggers Parlour organise blogger events in the Midlands, trying to offer something a little different in terms of activities and opportunities. Social media plays a big part of the events, with lots of opportunities to win spot prizes through sharing photographs on Twitter and Facebook, and using the #Bloggersparlour hashtag as often as possible. There were also opportunities to be creative – choosing…

Energy Bank Skin Glow You know when you put something on your face and then you…

Bathtime treats from BabyBlooms
BabyBlooms is a company that started in 2005 producing those beautiful and unusual baby bouquets made from hand-rolled items of baby clothes. I was lucky enough to be presented by one of those when Joe was born and it was stunning, I was almost reluctant to take the bouquet apart as it was just so special. Since then, BabyBlooms has branched out, with a range of lovely gift ideas for both mother and baby. In particular, the toiletry gift ideas are brilliant, gentle enough to be enjoyed by both mother and baby. I have been test driving some of the beauty products that BabyBlooms currently stocks, either to sell individually,…

Dry skin and Hay Fever relief for Children
Summer is a fantastic time, isn’t it? We have the sunshine, the long days and light nights, the flowers, the grass, the butterflies and ice-creams etc, etc. But with all this, we also have the pollen bringing the hayfever, with its stinging and streaming eyes, runny noses and itchy skin. Summer is wonderful, but for some people, it is a time when for feeling run-down and ill. Unfortunately, this seems to be the case with my son Joe. He has been prone to extremely dry skin for a while now, and, as eczema runs in our family, there is every likelihood that this is what the problem is (although the…
