Celebrity dress special featuring Lupita Nyong’o, Sandra Bullock and Sophie Ellis Bextor

If there is one item of apparel I couldn’t live without, it’s the dress. From short, flirty mini’s, to fabulous full length evening wear, my wardrobe is 75% dress, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. Like most people, I take inspiration for my frocks from a range of sources, and TV and the Red Carpet are certainly amongst the places I look to. This month there have been a flurry of red carpet events which the High Street have been quick to respond to. Some of the ladies at these key events have actually been sporting the best of the High Street themselves. Television presenter Zoe Hardman looked fantastic…

Oscars 2014 – My Favourite Looks

It seems strange that a year ago I sat writing my Oscar fashion piece lamenting that it wasn’t exactly a vintage year for fashion. Well, what a difference a year makes. 2014 was most definitely one of the best dressed Oscar fashion nights in years, so much so, that it would be difficult to chose a best dressed. Lupita Nyong’o deservedly won her best supporting actress category and fashion plaudits in Nairobi blue Prada. It was a goddess style dress that was just so pretty, and the hairband was perfect to accessorize with. She has been the Queen of awards dressing and this dress was the absolute pinnacle. Cate Blanchett…

Celebrity get the look featuring Anne Hathaway, Naomi Watts and Rita Ora

March has arrived, bringing to a close that most starstudded of months. Because whilst February is the shortest month of the year, it certainly isn’t short on glamour. The Oscars, the Brit Awards, The Grammys. The Baftas all of these star studded occasions took place within the confines of those 28 days, bringing so many looks to savour from a host of your favourite celebs. With that in mind, I decided to feature some great lookalike gowns that could help you create that designer look, as well as featuring the real Alexander McQueen dress as worn by Naomi Watts, which is quite simply a work of fashion art. Along with…

    Oscars 2013 – My top 10 Dresses

So it’s all over, the 2013 Oscars was one of the most anticipated ceremonies in recent years, with some real vintage films and performances to savour. In terms of the dresses, I don’t personally think it was a vintage year, most stars looked great, but safe in their choices, and there were so many strapless dresses that I was overjoyed when the long-sleeved vision of Jennifer Hudson walked onto the red carpet. But there were still some beautiful looks to enjoy, and so I have chosen my favourite 10, that I will announce, X Factor style, in no particular order. Naomi Watts in Armani Prive Naomi Watts looked sublime in…

The Oscar Fashion Awards go to…

I adore the Oscars, it is, without doubt, my favourite fashion night of the year. And, despite the fact that E! stopped the red carpet coverage before the arrival of Angelina, Gwyneth, Natalie  or Sandra, this was still a vintage night for Fashion. So, here are my very own red carpet Oscars to celebrate all that was good in the Oscar Fashion World. Best dressed Angelina Jolie opted for classic black Atelier Versace, but with a thigh skimming split that kept her sexy bad-girl persona in place. I loved that she went for black velvet, bringing to mind a sexy, Hollywood version of our own Kate Middleton. Super Gwyneth looked…
