Celebrity dress special featuring Lupita Nyong’o, Sandra Bullock and Sophie Ellis Bextor
If there is one item of apparel I couldn’t live without, it’s the dress. From short, flirty mini’s, to fabulous full length evening wear, my wardrobe is 75% dress, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. Like most people, I take inspiration for my frocks from a range of sources, and TV and the Red Carpet are certainly amongst the places I look to. This month there have been a flurry of red carpet events which the High Street have been quick to respond to. Some of the ladies at these key events have actually been sporting the best of the High Street themselves. Television presenter Zoe Hardman looked fantastic…

A Look into Designer Resale Shops
Conscious consumerism has grown as a movement over the past few years. This interest in recycling used clothes and accessories has even reached the world of high end fashion. Consignment shops for designer wear have opened their doors to the general public for anyone who wants to buy, sell or trade gently used designer clothing and accessories. You can find anything from designer skirts to rare handbags on these sites. You can also list your own items as well as create virtual closets of your favorite designs. One of the advantages of these designer consignment shops is that they generally tend to accept items that are only gently used. This…

Curvissa and the Perfect White blazer
There are certain items that every capsule wardrobe should include. A little black dress, a classic black handbag, a crisp white shirt, all these are items that you will wear time and time again. To this list, I would also add a single breasted white blazer. This is something that looks brilliant with so many things including denim, over a shift dress and teamed with a tea dress. There are literally so many combinations that the white blazer can be worn with, it becomes an essential part of the all-year round wardrobe. When I was asked if I would be interested in reviewing something from the Curvissa Spring/Summer collection, I…

New season bags from Spartoo
I always think Spring is the perfect time to invest in a shiny new handbag. There are always lots of new styles available, in a range of new season colours that you almost become spoiled for choice. I love handbags, having far more than I could ever wish to use. But some of them have seen better days. Having a little boy I often end up carrying the most unexpected of items in my bag – this week, I have taken out a tennis ball (a 50p purchase my son insisted on when we were looking around Sports Direct), stickers that are no longer sticky, a half eaten milky bar…

Gudrun Sjoden Women in Art Collection
Exciting times! The new Spring/Summer collections from Gudrun Sjoden have just been launched, and, as you would expect from the lady, they are bright, beautiful and totally wearable. As regular readers are already aware, I fell in love with Gudrun’s designs at a press day a couple of years ago, pulled in by the fabulous quality of the pieces, the use of organic, Eco cotton, and the sheer fun and use of colour they inspired in my wardrobe. This season, my personal favourite from the current collections is the one inspired by ‘Women in Art’. This is an homage to some wonderful Scandinavian female artists, in particular, Vera Nilsson, Suri…
