Check out the kids selection at House of Fraser
When I think about House of Fraser, a great place to buy quality children’s clothes isn’t the image that immediately springs to mind. A fabulous beauty hall – yes. One of my favourite clothing collections from Biba – definitely. Lovely and unusual items for the home – absolutely. But kids clothing for Joe, not at all. I can honestly say I wasn’t even sure that they did children’s clothing. But I was wrong – House of Fraser has a great, and extensive range of kids clothes that offers designer brands, great quality own brands and lots of cool pieces you can’t find anywhere else.
I was given a budget of £30 and asked to select an outfit for Joe. It didn’t really sound that much to spend at House of Fraser and I was unsure that I would find anything. But the phase pleasantly surprised is the one that springs to mind as there were lots of things that I liked, and could afford from the budget. My eyes were instantly drawn to the Fabric Flavours selection – a retro style brand that takes iconic cartoon characters, movie and comic book heroes and cult movies and puts them on -shirts, hooded jackets, pyjamas and baby sleepsuits. With Joe being a huge Star Wars fan, I selected an Empire Strikes Back t-shirt that is identical to one his daddy wore in the early 1980s.
This t-shirt is a classic, original design that is from the time of the original film release. This film is one of the first ones I went to the cinema to see with my dad, so it is an extra special design, as Joe now loves the film too. The thick red cotton, cute label on the sleeve, and decent sizing makes this a great choice.
I teamed Joe’s t-shirt with a pair of jeans from the brand Little Criminal. Joe has really long legs so we sized up to the 7-8 years and used the waist adjusters to adjust the waistband. These are a great pair of dark wash denim jeans, straight legged, perfect for every day work and play rather than as a pair to keep for ‘Sunday best’. We decided to put the jeans through their paces at a local park, which was rather muddy due to heavy rain, so we could see how well they washed and kept their colour, and also how comfortable they are for little boys rough and tumble play. They came through with flying colours. They have washed really well and Joe has since worn them again – he says they are comfortable and they get his vote.
House of Fraser is definitely worth a look for cool children’s clothing that is a little bit different from what you can find on the high street. I was really happy with Joe’s choices, and I think he looks super cute in them.

We are currently reviewing some House of Fraser clothes, their bits are lovely. I always have to get my daughter jeans with the waist adjusters, she’s such a tiny waist but so tall! Your Son looks like he had fun in his new outfit!
