Deck the Halls with John Lewis this Christmas
I have a family tradition when it comes to Christmas. The 1st December is dedicated to putting up the Christmas tree and ‘decking the halls’ throughout my house. And although I choose an artificial tree so do not replace this every year, I do insist on buying new decorations to add to my already burgeoning collection – tree decorations, things to decorate the mantlepieces, new candles and a whole host of other items that just catch my eyes when I’m out and about.
This year, my eyes have been drawn to the Christmas home and decoration range from John Lewis. In particular I love the way that the tree decorations have something to suit every taste. My tree is white and has a range of silver and pastel coloured decorations, along with some shiny pinks and blues for good measure. It is a very girly and quite modern tree, and so I have been drawn to the Odyssey range, with it’s use of clear and coloured glass and icicle and snow capped baubles. I also adore the Vintage Market range with pink glass birds and white snowy owls, which are just so pretty. But for traditionalists, there are hand crocheted baubles of Gingerbread Men and Santa, and bright red and green decorations in the Forest Festival range. While Rural Life offers a range of traditional style decorations made from wood to give a rustic feel.
Truly something for everyone, with the possible exception of Ebenezer Scrooge of course.
