Hackney Weekend featuring Lana Del Rey, Florence, Rihanna and Jessie J

Well, the festivals have truly started, and the best dressed ladies in music are making their mark with some very different styles. Lana Del Rey, Rita Ora, Florence Welch, Rihanna and Jessie J have all made appearances over the last weekend at Hackney Weekend, approaching festival dressing in their own inimitable style. My favourite was the gorgeous Lana Del Rey, who seems to get more like Nancy Sinatra with every sighting. She took to the stage at Hackney a week after her appearance at Lovebox, defining her as one of the faces of Summer 2012.

Here are what some of the ladies have been wearing, and some ideas for getting a similar look yourself.

Lana Del Rey

Lana Del Rey looked just incredible at the Hackney Weekend, channelling her 1960s signature retro style. She seems to have inherited the late Amy Winehouse’s look, with the heavy, Cleopatra make-up, large backcombed hair and puffball style dresses. She always looks beautiful, but I particularly loved the off duty look as she arrived at the event.

Rihanna

Rihanna made an appearance on stage with Jay Z at the Hackney weekend on Saturday, dressed in typical Rihanna fashion. Let’s face it, if we had her washboard stomach, we’d probably live in crop tops too. On Sunday the tiny shorts will still in place, even if her trim tummy was now covered up.

Jessie J

Jessie J wowed the crowd with her glam tomboy style at the Hackney weekend. Striped leggings are almost becoming her trademark, but with her envious legs, they always look fabulous. I was also glad to see that her trademark bob is also back.

Florence Welch

Florence never settles for anything less than spectacular, and this dress, with its extra long train fitted this pattern once again. In antique gold, the colouring suited the singer perfectly, and despite the beauty of the dress, Florence was in hippyish mood with her barefooted look.
