IGIGI by Yuliya Raquel Angie Dress
When it comes to my style, tea dresses reign supreme. There is something so timeless about the 1940s staple, utterly feminine, perfect for any occasion, and just so flattering on most shapes due to the knee length and usual use of sleeves. As a curvy lady, I think tea dresses flatter and fit in just the right places, and work well with a denim jacket and flat shoes for casual occasions, or with heels and a clutch bag for more formal affairs.
Curvety is a company that declares that it dresses ‘your curves with style’. It stocks brands like Robell, Kirsten Krog, Tia and Igigi by Yulia Raquel, and it is the last brand that I have been reviewing. Igigi was founded in 2000 in San Fransisco, and has been at the forefront of the plus size fashion revolution, producing beautiful quality clothing that is both stylish and elegant, and comes in sizes 12-32. It is, quite simply, a go to brand when you want a truly special outfit for an important occasion.

When I was approached by Curvety with a view to review something from their vast range, I totally fell in love with, you’ve guessed it, a teadress from the Igigi by Yulia Raquel range. The Angie dress in the rosebush print is an absolute beauty. It has 3/4 sleeves with adjustable ties, a crossover bust, a fully lined a-line style skirt and stretchy fabric which makes it comfortable to wear without being clingy.
The dress is totally retro 1940s and sits so prettily on the knee. The print is vibrant and would look great whatever time of the year you choose to wear it. It is a dress that would definitely suit a special occasion, but is also so comfortable you could wear it every day, dressed down in the way I mentioned earlier.
I wore this dress to the book launch at a casino where I was able to play polish slots no deposit bonus, and teamed it with a similarly retro shoe, a red suede and patent Mary Jane. The v neckline also means you can add a necklace as it will sit perfectly in the v – I chose pearls, but I think both silver and gold would also be fine with the colour option.

I know this is the sort of dress that I will wear loads – practical, stylish and classic. This dress is quite limited in size options now, but Curvety have a great range of Igigi dresses so I would definitely recommend you take a look at the new-in section. There are also quite a lot of sales bargains at the moment – again, well worth a look.
*I was sent the dress in return for a honest review.

Wow this dress looks great! I love the bold print. This isn’t a company I have heard of before but the style definitely suits your shape. I always steer towards dresses which go in at the waist to show off the smallest point.
