Kiehls Skin Rescuer Reviewed
As part of my blog birthday celebrations (three years old this month), I’ve been lucky enough to be sent some fantastic products to review. The first product is a beauty one and came courtesy of the very lovely Jen Hale from Kiehls. Kiehls sent me a bottle of their skin rescuer to try out, and I have to say the results were particularly impressive.
I must admit that I had never used Kiehls products before, although I had heard and read very good things about them from both bloggers and in magazines. This product promises to reduce the visible signs of stress on skin, such as that caused by skin fatigue, de-hydration, blotchiness and redness. The skin rescuer seemed to be a product that my face needed, after a hot summer of too much sun which has caused breakouts, particularly in the t-zone area. Dry skin around the edges of my face was another effect of a long, dry summer, and lots of late nights burning the midnight oil had also contributed to skin that was a bit lacklustre. So, all things considered, the Kiehls skin Rescuer couldn’t have arrived at a better time.
The product proved easy to use, I simply applied it to my clean face in the morning after washing. A small pump from the bottle proved enough to massage into my whole face, and as the liquid was very light and thin in texture, the skin absorbed it easily without being left sticky or shiny. There was a lovely fresh scent to the moisturising treatment, a combination of camomile and Rosa Gallinca botanical extract, this added to the fresh but soothing feeling this gave your skin as it absorbed.
I’ve been using this for a week now, and my skin already feels softer, and less parched around the edges and under the chin. It is such an easy product to add into your routine, and the bottle size makes it ideal for travelling and holidays, or even to keep in your bag if you work in air conditioned offices. Because it offers both the quick fix for short-term visible signs and longer term premature ageing effects, this is a product that deserves the term Hero. I would highly recommend adding this to your skincare routine.
