Reviewed – Mia Roses Foil skirt from Boohoo
First of all, I need to apologise for the quality of the photographs I’m using today. They truly do not show the fabulous gold foil of this skirt at it’s best. Unfortunately, in daylight the flash refused to work, so the pictures are a little dark. But trust me, this skirt shimmers with the gold foil effect and is really lovely.
This is the third of my reviews of the new Boohoo plus size range. Boohoo, as I mentioned in previous reviews, now has a great range that runs from size 18 to 24. The range is full of really fine pieces, dresses, tops, some great knitwear and killer skirts. I chose a skirt for my third review, the Mia Roses foil skirt.
This is a fabulous skirt. In a great stretchy jersey fabric, this is brilliant for Winter, both for daytime and evening wear. A thick, elasticated waistband makes this comfortable and also helps to achieve the hourglass figure. I love the fact that this is knee length, too many skirts seem to be too short for me and I spend time pulling them down towards the knees, but this is a good pencil skirt sitting just on the knee.
I went to see Strictly Come Dancing at the NIA on Sunday, and I wore this skirt teamed with a black lace top. I added a belt to the waistband which made the skirt and top look almost like a dress. Animal print shoes made a nice contrast with the black/beige colouring, whilst a favourite cashmere cardigan gave the arms a little bit of coverage (it was a rather cold day.). I thought this outfit was successful, I really enjoyed wearing it and the skirt was admired by both my sister and mom.
I was really impressed with this and I will definitely be checking out some of the other skirts from the Boohoo range.

The skirt looks lovely on you. Getting your camera to behave the way you want it too can be a nightmare.
