Shapeology Fashion Week with Marisota

One of my favourite online fashion destinations is Marisota. I love the choice, the range of sizes (which I find to be very generous) and the gorgeous quality. I love the fact that it stocks top brands, and that one of my fave fashion people, Mr Mark Heyes, is a brand ambassodor, creating the lovely Ava range too.

With the new season almost upon us, next week Marisota is holding it’s very own online Shapeology Fashion Week. Each day, the Marisota website will be hosting a different ‘trend’ on the homepage with emai; communication and social media showing how you ‘CanWear’ new season trends with confidence! They have also created a great set of trend and catwalk videos which you can view below.

The four major trends that Marisota has focused on for the new season are boho, layering, brands and occasionwear, and they have created a range of looks based on these categories. I am super excited to announce that Marisota have asked me to represent one of the trends ahead of the Shapeology week. I chose the Layering trend which is so perfect for the transitional weather – you can simply add a layer when the weather turns cooler, or remove one if you get unexpected sunshine or temparature rise.

The Outfit

This outfit is all about layers and proportions, the Magisculpt skinny jeans and Sole Diva boots contrasted against the slightly oversized Nightingales Kimono Jacket. The gorgeous Joanna Hope grab bag is roomier than you would expect, but the metallic silver gives this an expensive and glamorous look, perfect for dressing up your every day looks. Tying the look together is a classic piece, the Mark Heyes cold shoulder blouse, great for tucking in with a neat pencil skirt, or wearing loose over skinny jeans.

I love all the pieces, both individually, and worn together. The kimono jacket is thicker than you might expect, a bit like last season’s coatigan, and would look stunning as a cover up for a little black dress. The blouse is elegant – I love the cut out sleeves and really want to see this teamed with something in this season’s Marsala shade. The jeans are little miracle workers – holding you in place, with a nice snug fit on the bum and tum, and in the black shade I think these could work with heels for evening too. I love the grey accents of the boots and the bag, so I also added a silver belt to change the look slightly – making it more buttoned up for Autumn.
