Sleeveless Stripe Print High Waist Dress From Rotita

Last week I reviewed a gorgeous white blouse from Rotita that was perfect to wear for pretty much any occasion. I love the blouse, the style and cut and the generous sizing, but did wonder if this would also apply to other items from the current Rotita range. I am glad to say that it does, as the gorgeous, slightly 1950’s style Sleeveless Stripe Print High Waist Dress is absolutely gorgeous, easy to wear and best of all, is one of those dresses that you don’t need to iron.

This dress is just so perfect for Summer, with it’s bright colour and cool style. It has the definite feel of something that Audrey Hepburn or Grace Kelly would wear, and although it could be perfect for Summer weddings and occasions, at the moment it is equally lovely with sandals and a cardi draped over the shoulders on a cooler day.

The dress is a mixture of polyester and elastane which gives it that comfortable stretch and ensures that it does not crease. The skirt is mid calf on me (5ft 7inches) so could be almost maxi length on someone shorter, and I love the tank style of the top which makes it perfect for adding a necklace or a brooch.

The detail is all in the stripe, this is in a silk feel panel which gives the dress a luxurious touch, overall the style is really elegant. The dress is a little sheer, so you may want to wear something underneath, but I have to be honest and say it wasn’t see through enough for me to do that, I think it is personal preference and is fine without.

I added animal print accessories and a vintage chain necklace to my look, but I think you could team this with either black or white to tie in with the coloured bands on the dress, as I already mentioned, a brooch could take the place of a necklace for a twist on the vintage look.
