Style Focus – Samantha Barks
She has certainly been one of the breakout stars of 2013. With a stunning performance as Eponine in the movie version of Les Miserables, Samantha Barks has ensured that she is one to watch.Sam’s role in Les Miserables followed on from her acclaimed performance in the stage version, which continues to be a huge hit with fans (you can get information about Les Miserables tickets available from Big Ticket Shop UK if you fancy watching the live stage version). Samantha has also started to garner column inches for her impeccable fashion sense and a hot romance with male model de jour David Gandy. Not bad for a girl who finished third in the BBC search for Nancy ‘I’d do anything’.

In February this year, Sam was named Breakthrough Performance at the Elle Style Awards, always the sign of a stylish and talented star. She then followed this up with an eye-catching appearance at the Oscars, wearing a super sexy plunge front Valentino dress that ensured column inches for the Oscar ceremony debutante.

But the Oscar dress was not a one-off, throughout the promotional tours, premieres and award ceremonies promoting Les Mis, Sam more than held her own against her co-stars, and noted formidable fashionista’s Anne Hathaway and Amanda Seyfried. In fact, on many occasions, she totally outshone them.

But don’t assume that Samantha’s look is just about Hollywood glamour, or that her wardrobe is just stuffed with designer gowns. One of the things I love most about this lady and her style is that she also supports the High Street. Reiss is a particular fave, whilst her summer festival wardrobe featured a smattering of Oasis in the shape of a pretty floral blouse.

With a starring role in a new Dracula film coming up soon, expect to see Samantha Barks at the top of Acting and Best dressed lists in the next few years. With talent and a wardrobe to die for, she is definitely one to watch.

Love the Roland Mouret dress but also Reiss – more affordable.
I so miss European fashion over here in Georgia.
I have a new website as above, – my new business, hence why my blog has taken a back seat recently.
Best Wishes Emma.
