Review – Tiger Frames from Perfect Glasses
A few weeks ago I wrote about Perfect Glasses, a great destination to find a wide range of prescription glasses and sunglasses at affordable, discount prices. (You can find that original article here). Today I am reviewing a pair of the sunglasses from the site, because all the sunglass designs also be designed with plain glass as well as prescription lenses. The glasses I chose from the site were the Tiger design that currently have 50% off with the code PAYHALF. The Tiger glasses are a cute, retro design with an tortoiseshell print frame that screams 1950s poolside glamour. Very lightweight in design, these are the perfect glasses for those…

Simply Be Plise Ruffle Midi Dress Reviewed
I am a huge fan of Simply Be. They offer great quality clothing that comes in a really good range of sizes, with the sizing actually being true to size (one of my main bugbears of fashion is when a size large is a size 12!). I also love that the website is a one stop shop, you can get everything from holiday fashion to formal wear, you can find a dress for a wedding, a prom, for sightseeing, or to wear for work. The range is vast and varied and I would defy anyone to not find something they liked, whatever their taste. My current favourite is the Simply…

When the sun is beating down making us all feel a little hot and sticky, there is nothing in your wardrobe that can beat the coolness of a cotton tunic. Gudrun Sjoden has produced a really beautiful cotton kaftan that is just perfect for the gorgeous weather we are enjoying at the moment. Called the ‘Gry’, this is a 1970s vintage style tunic that is also a great buy if you are going…

1978 style icons – Kate Bush and Debbie Harry
Hurray! The ‘Top of the Pops’ 1970s reruns are back, and this year the focus is on 1978. The introductory series ‘The Story of 1978’ was shown on BBC4 last night and got my very excited about this years focus, as it was the year that two of my absolute, all time style icons really found fame. I’m talking of course about Blondie’s Debbie Harry and the inimitable, unique Kate Bush. These two ladies helped change the perception of female singers. Not mere puppets or sex objects, they were woman in control, talented females whose music and personal style have stood the test of time. Kate was just 18 when…

Barbara Hulanicki’s New collection for George – Exclusively online
Legendary designer Barbara Hulanicki has launched her latest collaboration with Asda George, this time it’s a fantastic capsule collection of must-have dresses. The capsule collection is made up of just four dresses, two wrap style, one tunic style with a very 60s shape and a cowl neckline, and one which brings to mind the flirty tulip shapes of early Victoria Beckham dresses. Each dress has a very Biba-esque print and comes in at the amazing price of just £20 or less – a total bargain as these are classic, wear forever shapes. The colours are also beautiful, deep magenta’s, rich blues and black and teal prints. My personal favourite is…
