A look back to this post from 2010. According to the October edition of Vogue, there is a 1990’s revival occurring in fashion. This made me shudder in disbelief, the 1990’s don’t seem to be far away enough in the past to be subject to a revival. Amazing Club Tropicana night at Selfridges
It was Club Tropicana night at Selfridges, Birmingham on Friday, and the drinks were most definitely free! To celebrate the launch of Birmingham Pride, the Selfridges menswear department, in collaboration with Attitude Magazine, laid out the pink carpet and treated us to a feast of the most gorgeous male models imaginable wearing little more than a pair of designer pants. The event was sexy fun from start to finish. Two leading drag queens sorted out the guest list and posed for photographs with the guests, whilst a 1980s style roller girl amazed with her dancing and skating prowess. Corinne Day – A small tribute
Corinne Day, the iconic fashion photographer who created famous early images of Kate Moss, died last week from a brain tumour. She was just 45 years old. Corinne created a whole range of famous, some would say infamous images of Kate Moss in the early 1990’s that changed the face of fashion photography and concepts of feminine beauty forever. At the height of the supermodel/superficial age, she stripped back fashion and beauty to its basics – harsh lighting, little of no make up, scrapped back hair and stark backdrops.
