Bree Van De Kamp – A television Style Icon.
And so Desperate Housewives is to end. The series, which relaunched Terri Hatcher and made a star of Eva Longaria has finally been axed, after it was decided that enough serial killers, accidental killers, child snatchers and people with secrets had moved into one suburban street, particularly one with a name as pretty as Wysteria Lane. I stopped watching quite a while back, but still think that we should mourn the passing of a true TV style icon, Bree Van De Kamp, as played by the gorgeous Marcia Cross. Bree was the only style star of Desperate Housewives, she was the Carrie Bradshaw of Wysteria Lane. Not that Bree and…

The growing trend for two wedding dresses.
There seems to be a new trend amongst stylish brides for more than one white dress on their big day.It used to be traditional for brides to have that one super special dress for their wedding day, and to revel in wearing it all day long, unless they left early to go on honeymoon. But now brides seem to be making the most of the chance to really dress up and are investing in two, and even three dresses for their big day. Kate Middleton swapped her lace and satin Amanda Burton creation for an ivory strapless McQueen gown with a lovely angora shrug cardigan over the top. This seemed…

Loving Kirsten Dunst at Wimbledon!
Well I sat sipping Pimms yesterday in honour of my favourite sporting occasion Wimbledon. And who knew that the legendary event could this year be one that hits the fashion radar too. But yesterday, one of my favourite Hollywood stars appeared at centre court and set my fashion eye a fluttering. Step forward Kirsten Dunst, who recently looked absolutely amazing at Cannes, and definitely seems to be having a real fashion moment. With her friend, stylist Leith Clark alongside, Kirsten had come up with the perfect fashion moment for what looks like a rain-soaked summer. Pretty floral tea style dress, teamed with a mannish, throw-over-everything blazer. Pretty, vintage style gold sandals…

Lily Allen weds!
This Saturday saw the wedding of Lily Allen and Sam Cooper, and the surprise but heart warming news that Lily is more than 12 weeks pregnant. All eyes were on the dress, as Lily is known as a vintage aficionado, who has here own vintage clothes shop, Lucy in Disguise, that she co-runs with sister Sarah, and has recently launched her own vintage-inspired line to be sold through Harvey Nichols. Lily is also a sometime muse of Karl Lagerfeld of Chanel, so he was another possible designer name in the frame. As it was, Lily plumped for an exquisite 1920s style dress by French designer Delphine Manivet, that owed something in style…

Why Blake Lively should not play Carrie Bradshaw
The internet has been going crazy this week with the news that Blake Lively may be playing the young Carrie Bradshaw in an adaptation of Candace Bushnell’s ‘The Carrie Diaries’, the prequel to Sex in the City that tells the tale of Carrie Bradshaw’s teenage years. I am not happy about this. I like Blake Lively. She is tall, blonde and beautiful. As stylish off-screen as she is on, she is the current darling of Chanel’s Karl Lagerfeld, and is the undoubted star of Gossip Girl. (Sorry Blake!). But she is just not right for the role of the teenage Carrie. For a start, Blake is imply too tall and…
