Project D for Simply Be – Amazing First Collection

One of the most exciting collaborations between a designer label and a High Street name has just hit the shelves. Simply Be has teamed up with the one and only Project D to produce a fabulous designer range that doesn’t stop at a size 16, and the collection is just fabulous.

Project D, the label founded by the super Stylish Tabitha Somerset Webb (of Tabitha bags) and the one and only Dannii Minogue (the X Factor legend who I miss more and more each year as I cringe through another Tulisa show), is a celebrity favourite. Project D dresses have graced the likes of Tess Daly, Sarah Harding and Pippa Middleton, they are always ultra feminine with beautiful prints and beadwork and they flatter the wearer in a way that many ‘designer’ styles fail to do. They are now bringing this glamour to Simply Be, and I am so impressed that they have chosen to work with a brand that actually goes up to a size 32.

So what is the collection like? Just as you would expect from Project D, beautiful is the first word that springs to mind. Floral maxi dresses that are perfectly floaty and will be your summer holiday must have, adorable evening pieces featuring glittery American skylines, and dotted, 1940s inspired dresses that are timeless classics that will live in your wardrobe forever.

So many wonderful pieces – I’ve basically made a wishlist and included them all!

Tabitha – The Stardust is back with a Disco beat!

Tabitha bags are back! I’m so excited to be writing that sentence. Tabitha Somerset Webb, the brains behind Tabitha, and one half of Project D (with Dannii Minogue of course) is going back to her first love, beautiful handbags. And to start with, she is relaunching a much loved classic – the glorious Stardust bag.

The Stardust bag was an instant success when it was originally launched,  a stunning confection of soft leather and studding that conferred to create a fabulous bag. It gained a celebrity following, Dannii Minogue, Mylene Klass, Fearne Cotton, Kimberly Walsh and Rochelle Wiseman were amongst the stylish devotees of the Stardust.

But, perhaps the most famour fan of the Tabitha Stardust bag is Pippa Middleton. She has been seen using the Stardust with a whole range of outfits – proof of the versatility of the now Iconic bag.

And now, the Stardust is being relaunched, and reborn as ‘Disco Inferno’.  Inspired by the new season’s tribute to disco, the bag has been imagined in a range of sumptuous colours, with glints of studs and echoes of gold.  And today sees a very special Pre Launch for the Disco Inferno, a precursor for the full collection which will be launched at the end of August.

At midday a limited number of the Disco Inferno bags will be available via the medium of Facebook. This follows on from a campaign which has harnassed Social Media in order to publicise the relaunch. I think this is a very clever move by Tabitha, showing a full understanding of the power of social media sites to publicise a product or company, and connect with your fans.
