Reviewed – Poppy Print Dress from Scarlett and Jo
I’ve been a fan of Scarlett and Jo ever since I saw that gorgeous picture of some gorgeous plus size bloggers wearing the Side panel dress. My thoughts were immediately – ‘here is a company who understands that curvier ladies want something to enhance their figures rather than hide them.’ I then got the chance to meet the lovely ladies at the Plus Size Fashion Weekend, and was again really impressed by the brand ethos and the stylish pieces they were producing. So when I was asked if I would like to review the Poppy Print dress, it really wasn’t an difficult decision. If you can shout YES over an…

Monochrome chic from Evans
Despite the fact that I am one of the greatest advocates of colour in your wardrobe, there is something undeniably chic about monochrome. Classic black and white will always be a wardrobe staple, something that is perfect for you work outfits, glamorous for important occasions like a day at the races, a family wedding or a black tie event. Timeless and classic, black and white outfits stay in the wardrobe forever, the colour combo never goes out of style and will always be a fashion failsafe. This season, Evans have made monochrome a key part of its Spring/Summer collections, and have shown its versatility. There are cute, fun prints with…

(Good) Friday Shopping Focus – Evans Live Unlimited
In February I attended the first Plus Size Fashion Weekend on behalf of F&F Clothing. One of the best things about the day was getting the opportunity to see some new ranges up close, and one of those ranges was the fabulous ‘Live Unlimited‘. With fellow blogger Caroline from Curvy Wordy, I had lots of fun examining the range and picking out my favourite pieces. The Live Unlimited range is now available in store and online for Evans, and I think it is absolutely great. This is such a grown up range, feminine without being girly. This is definitely a collection for those who still like to make monochrome a…

Easter presents for those avoiding chocolate
It is less than 2 weeks to Easter, and for most people that means an excuse to indulge in chocolate. But what about presents for those who are avoiding the dark and yummy stuff. After all, contrary to widely held believe, not everyone has a sweet tooth. And then there are those who are dieting, or don’t eat it for health reasons, or those who just get far too many eggs and so look for something different. What do you buy for them? This year I am faced with a heavily pregnant sister who now has an aversion to chocolate. I would usually opt to buy clothing, but again, with…

Evans – The Lace Edit
With the exception of the white variety, which I associate with weddings, I somehow seem to think of lace as a winter trend. But this season, Evans is showing that the delicate fabric is actually a perfect choice for that strange, transitional period between Winter and Spring. Lace is a versatile fabric. In black and dark shades it looks decidedly gothic, but the nature of the fabric is delicate and light, therefore giving it a softer feel. Evans have added some soft grey and Emerald Green into the mix, as well as adding lace to everyday sweatshirts and denim shirts, again showing the wonderful versatility of this fabric. Here are…
