January Outfit Post – Part 2
As promised, here is part two of my outfit post for January. This one features some of the sale bargains I found this month, including the final pieces which cost a grand total of £16 from Topshop. I’ve already worn the jumper on a couple of occasions, and I know the skirt will be a wardrobe favourite as I have it in a couple of different colours and basically wear them to death. I’m thinking of teaming it with a black jumper for the rest of the Winter, and then a cream cami and strappy sandals once Summer comes. The best sort of wardrobe buys are ones which are versatile…

The return of the long sleeved dress
The beginning of February means we are starting to look forward to Spring and some Springtime dressing. The months of thick jumpers and boots may finally be coming to an end, and we will be able to embrace the new season fashion. But, at the moment, it is still very cold, and so a great transitional piece is the long sleeved dress, so thank goodness that the fashion magazines and shops are currently full of them. January Outfit Post Pt 1
I have to say that I am so glad that January is over. I’ve never been a fan of the month, it is such an anti-climax after the fun and sparkle of Christmas, and this month it has been made worse by very cold weather and a house full of regular bouts of illness. That said, in terms of fashion, it hasn’t been all that bad. January has the last of the sales. This is a time when the shops are filled with lots of rubbish, but you can also get diamonds amongst the rough. A case in point is my animal print River Island skirt. I’d been trying to…

Ted Baker Accessories at Mainline Menswear
I’m continuing with my look at great gift ideas for Valentine’s Day with a focus on some great Ted Baker accessories from Mainline Menswear. Mainline, which has been featured on the blog before, is a great port of call for designer menswear and accessories including ranges from Ralph Lauren, Paul Smith, Barbour and Hugo Boss. Ted Baker accessories are impeccably stylish and are also beautifully presented, which makes them a great gift idea. They work particularly well if you are buying a gift for a gent for the first time – you may not know their taste in shirts or tops, but you can’t really go wrong with a wallet,…

Styling tips for the older gent
It was Coco Chanel who said ‘…fashion only fades, style remains the same…’ and whilst I think she was probably referring to her own effortless, ageless style when she said this, I think this is true to everyone, male or female. As we get older we may become less fashion-forward with our choices, may not take as many risks, but we may discover our true style, and that is something that really lasts. Men’s clothing brand Chums have recently been focusing on questions about men’s style, looking at whether you can comprimise to ensure that you are both stylish and comfortable. They asked me for my own style tips for…
