Friday Frocks – dresses, dresses, dresses
I’m cold! It’s dull and rainy, and if we were in any doubt that our lovely Indian Summer was well and truly over, today is the sort of day that dispels any hope of warm days. So, because of this fact and how it makes me feel (i.e. miserable). And, because of the fact that my hands are almost falling off due to cold, but I totally refuse to turn the central heating on while the month still begins with ‘OCT’, todays blog is a Friday shopping special created solely with the aim of cheering me up. It contains my favourite item of clothing, dresses, and lots of them. So…

Friday Shopping – Dress special
Friday shopping has been absent for a few weeks, as I have been enjoying Summer holidays and weekend breaks away. But now it is back and I’ve turned once again to a subject close to my heart – pretty dresses. Whilst some people live in jeans, or are never out of trousers, I always instinctively turn to a dress when I need something failsafe. Friday shopping focus
Friday shopping this week focuses on a tale of extremes. In one corner we have George from Asda, which has a gorgeous new tropical collection that is just perfect for adding sultry sunshine to your wardrobe. The collection is lovely, and with prices below £25, is also great value and a perfect budget friendly treat. In the other corner we have the luxurious top picks of the week from Selfridges, which include a classic dress from Roland Mouret, and a mouth-watering gorgeous jacket from Isabel Marant. There is also a great bag and shoe offer from Clarks, which would enable you to buy the Marsh flower bag for just £15…

Barbara Hulanicki for George – latest drop
I always get excited about a drop from the legendary designer Barbara Hulanicki for George at Asda, finding hard to believe that Barbara brings all that amazing expertise and iconic print styles to a supermarket for such amazing prices. The latest range is now available in stores and online, and it is another corker. Concentrating this time on a palette of grey, cream, red and classic black, Barbara has mixed prints that have a late 60s paisley style with some plain items that could easily become wardrobe staples. Key picks? For me, the cape sleeve little black dress is just gorgeous, and totally belies its £18 price tag, whilst the…

Perfect Pieces for a working wardrobe
Remember the days when a smart working wardrobe meant a really bad suit, whether you were male or female? Thank goodness those days are over. Many of us need to have smart pieces in our wardrobe, whether, like me, you split work between home and numerous business venues, or whether holding down full or part-time jobs in any environment where first impressions count. Your working wardrobe says a lot about you, so the best wardrobe is almost a capsule one, made up of pieces that can be mixed and matched to make a range of different looks. You can pick up inexpensive pieces from George at Asda that can be…
