    With the exception of the white variety, which I associate with weddings, I somehow seem to think of lace as a winter trend. But this season, Evans is showing that the delicate fabric is actually a perfect choice for that strange, transitional period between Winter and Spring. Lace is a versatile fabric. In black and dark shades it looks decidedly gothic, but the nature of the fabric is delicate and light, therefore giving it a softer feel.     Duchess style continues to rule

    So it is finally official, the news that all fashion lovers already knew, Duchess Kate is great for the fashion economy. As well as helping companies like Reiss to show huge profits thanks to her patronage of their brands, Kate has helped dresses, fascinators and nude coloured tights to become much sought after items and has guaranteed an instant sell out of any item she wears, or is reported to have bought.     The speculation had been almost frenzied – who would design the wedding dress of the century? Would it be Alice Temperley?
