Add Sunshine to your accessories with Michael Kors

A new accessories collection from Michael Kors has launched exclusively at House of Fraser, and it is no exageration to say that this is a collection that will add summer and sunshine to your wardrobe. The Michael Kors Sunflower collection is absolutely gorgeous, made up of two handbags, 2 cross-body bags, a pouchette that could be used for travel documents, as a purse, or even as a small clutch bag, and a large, flapover, purse. The beauty of the collection is all in the colour, a bright and beautiful sunflower yellow.

As someone who would quite happily wear yellow every single day, I am obsessed with this collection. It would look stunning with your casual weekend looks (particularly the cross body bags), and yet I also love the idea of this colour against a sharp black shift dress, or even with a tailored trouser suit. Yellow is a surprisingly versatile colour – it looks great with black, grey and browns, clashes beautifully with orange, and is totally my number one choice to be teamed with deep blues and vibrant red.

If you are a fan of Micheal Kors (and frankly, who isn’t?) this could be a usual addition to your collection. If this is your first Michael Kors piece, then this is an unusual and striking colour to go for. If you love yellow shades, but don’t feel brave enough to wear them in the form of clothing, then again, this gives you the option for a splash of colour that can be teamed with plainer, darker shades.

What do you think of the collection?

5 Fashion Brands Who Are Killing It This Season

We see the same fashion brands on the catwalks and draped over the shoulders of models regularly but which ones are actually killing it this season and should be on your radar for the coming year?

Michael Kors

Michael Kors is a fashion brand enjoyed by the masses as it makes luxury affordable. The designs in the fashion brand’s ranges demand more reasonable prices and therefore offer something for everyone who wants to enjoy a designer label on their arm.

This season expect to see stunning swimwear, timeless and elegant shoe design and playsuits in every pattern and colour combination. Michael Kors continues to kill it with its range of popular watch designs, which you can pick up for even lower prices at TicWatches, and bags that are regularly worn by celebrities including Blake Lively and Kate Hudson.

Chanel

A timeless fashion brand, Chanel continues to kill it every single season and with brand ambassadors such as Cara Delevigne and Kendall Jenner stealing the show you should see plenty of Lagerfield’s work being papped.

The fashion brand’s Cruise collection is killing it, the designs take simplistic pastel colours and mixes them with bold patterns, as well as throwing in some patent and sheer material to add new dimensions. Expect to see the high street taking this collection on board and embrace it yourself.

JW Anderson

A relatively fresh face on the fashion show circuit, British design house JW Anderson is killing it this season with layered styles, sharp cuts and unusual shapes. The fashion brand is making waves due to its bold, distinct style that has been created for those who like to make a statement. Don’t expect the distinctive designs to come with a reasonable price tag though.

Nike

Nike appears to be on everyone’s feet these days, people wear Nike Airs with summer dresses or jeans and a blouse, mixing sportswear style with everyday clothing choices. Nike is killing it by turning out exciting new designs regularly, in a variety of colours to match all tastes. Expect to see everyone embracing the brand – and not just for their Sunday morning run, either.

H&M

An unlikely contender when it comes to brands that are killing it, H&M is well loved by the common folk and celebrities, such as Jessica Alba and Taylor Swift. The brand is killing it in 2015 with its latest collaborative range with Parisian design house Balmain, due for release later this year. Kendall Jenner has reared her head again as a fan of the collaboration along with supermodel Jourdan Dunn, as they wore pieces to the Billboard awards earlier this year.

This year, as always, there’s plenty going on in the fashion world. These are definitely five brands to watch and expect great things of as they continue to kill it.

Loving my Michael Kors Violet Sunglasses

I have a bit of a love/hate relationship with sunglasses. On people like Kate Moss, Victoria Beckham and Cara Delavingne, they look effortlessly cool and fabulous. But I have always found it difficult to find a pair of glasses that I like, and that suit me. Until now, that is…

Sunglasses Shop is a one stop shop for all your sunglasses needs, whether you are man, woman or child.  Stocking brands that range from cheap and cheerful, to designer names like Stella McCartney and Dior, Sunglasses Shop has a wide range of styles, lenses and designs that can appeal to all tastes. When Sunglasses Shop asked if I would like to review a pair of sunglasses, I’m afraid I turned into a very clichéd blogger and headed straight for the Michael Kors Collection, and chose a pair of retro inspired glasses I had my eye on for a very long time.

The Michael Kors Violet glasses have retro glamour written all over them. Fabulously oversized, these glasses look like they were first worn by Sofia Loren, or Audrey Hepburn, or even Jackie O, in those heady days of the swinging sixties. With a tortoiseshell frame, and the iconic Michael Kors Logo on the arms, these glasses are just gorgeous! I have to say I loved them the minute I took them out of the box.

The glasses come in a great protective case which will fit neatly into most bags. This stops the lens from getting scratched and damaged. There is also a cloth to clean the lenses with.  The glasses themselves are fabulous. Not only do they look grown up and glam, but they are really comfortable to wear, even for longer periods of time. We have had some beautiful weather so these have really had a test drive, and they have been very easy to wear, comfortable both on the bridge of the nose, and the sides of the nose where glasses can sometimes rub.

I think they look pretty cool perched on top of the head too!

The Michael Kors  Violet sunglasses come with a 2 year warranty, and the Sunglasses Shop has a price match guarantee.
