Easter treats from White Stuff

Easter is here and the weather promises to be amazing this weekend, which is taking some of us by wardrobe surprise. For many of us April means April showers, so we were not quite ready to banish the cardigans and opaque tights in exchange for glorious sunshine. So it’s a good job that White Stuff did the hard work for us, banishing the winter blues with a sparkling collection of bright summery pieces that just scream SUNSHINE!

There are pretty floral tops, sexy halter neck dresses and cool maxi dresses that could take you from beach to bar. There are the cutest flip-flops and stylish city shorts. And all the pieces have that usual White Stuff touch of quirkiness that make them just that bit different from the rest of the High Street.  My favourite piece has to be that colour-by-numbers bird print on the Express Yourself skirt. Here are all my key picks that you should treat yourself to this bank holiday weekend.

Strawberry Split dress

Lulu top

Fire Island dress

Mimosa top

Floppy Flower Flip Flops

Express Yourself skirt

Prissy shorts

All available at White Stuff stores nationawide and at whitestuff.com.

Kate’s shopping trip – next stop Whistles…

Kate Middleton made a second fashion odyssey to the Kings Road yesterday on her quest for more bits and pieces for that honeymoon. This time, one of Kate’s purchases was the ‘Kate’ blouse,  the £125 blouse that Kate wore on the engagement photographs by Mario Testino, which has recently been  reissued by Whistles. There has been much amusement about the fact that Kate has bought a blouse she already owns, but I can’t see what the fuss is about. I often buy things I like and feel comfortable in again, and Kate may well have been buying this for someone else (Kate and sister Pippa seem to have similar tastes…). The Sun newspaper also said that Kate had bought some navy polka dot trousers in size 8 for £150.

I’ve checked the Whistles website and can’t see any polka dot trousers, but did find these navy rope pattern ones for £150. These could be the ones Kate chose, they certainly have a nautical holiday feel and would look great with a simple white vest top.

Kate blouse - love the styling!

Could these be the trousers Kate bought?

Kate also paid a visit to Peter Jones, where she purchased sunglasses and Calvin Klein bras, and to Goldenpoint, where she bought sexy undies. Well, it is for her honeymoon after all!

Kate Middleton shops at Warehouse.

If we needed any more evidence that the lovely future Princess Katherine is a fan of the High Street, we certainly got it yesterday, when Kate added Warehouse to her High Street hot list.

Kate has already been spotted  wearing clothes from Topshop, French Connection, L K Bennett and is known to be a fan of TK Maxx. Her official engagement photos showed Kate in the Reiss Nannette dress and the newly named ‘Kate’ blouse from Whistles. Now Kate has enjoyed a pre honeymoon spree at Warehouse on the Kings Road, Chelsea.

Kate looked gorgeous  and relaxed during her shopping spree, wearing a black wrap dress with her hair loose. Warehouse was extremely excited by the Royal visitor, and the manager of the Kings Road store, Vanessa, said ‘…It was really great to meet her, she was really down to earth and lovely and she loved what she bought…’

Here are some of the things she bought…

Such lovely choices. All available now at Warehouse.co.uk…so get your skates on if you want to copy Kate’s choices, as everything associated with the Middleton Midas touch seems to be an instant sell out!
