Burton’s perfect grey suit – what every man needs in his wardrobe!
Every man needs at least one suit in his wardrobe. Whether it be for work, job interviews, weddings, special occasions or just for those special moments when you feel like making the effort, a suit is an essential part of a man’s clothing collection. And yet suits can be a troublesome item to buy. You want the Saville Row/Ozwald Boateng perfect fit, but without that jaw dropping price tag. You want something that looks smart all day long, rather than a suit that becomes creased as the day progresses. You want something that isn’t going to make you hot and sweaty at those long meetings on Summer days. And you…

Enjoy a Vintage feast at Pavillions.
If, like Fashion-Mommy, you are a bit of a vintage magpie, then I have some dates for your diary. On Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th June, vintage is coming to the Pavillions, Birmingham. The fabulous City Centre destination will be hosting a vintage Fair that weekend, playing host to 60 stores that will be selling a whole host of items, from craft to couture, designer finds to real vintage bargains. The event will take place from 9.30am until 6.00pm on the Saturday, and 11.00am until 5.00pm on the Sunday, and entrance is absolutely FREE. I think this is a fabulous idea and love the Vargas style posters that are being…

The Curvy Girls changing the face (and shape) of Fashion.
Last year, curvy girls seemed to explode onto the fashion scene. Christina Hendricks led the way with her much-lusted after hourglass shape that she showed off to great effect in her role as Joan in ‘Mad Men’. She became a Grazia cover girl, and went on to become the face of Vivienne Westwood’s jewellery collection. Beth Ditto sashayed down the catwalk for Jean Paul Gaultier, exuding confidence and stealing the show. Amber Riley became a major star in Glee and also began to feature on best dressed lists, whilst Crystal Renn, the most famous plus sized model, became one of the faces (if not the body) of Chanel. It seemed…

Cheryl Cole…a word of advice about that X Factor Wardrobe…
It seems that we may have been a little to hasty about dismissing Cheryl Cole’s American dream. If the press are to be believed (the News of the World so definitely true!!!), Cheryl may well be returning to US X Factor after produces viewed the tapes and decided they may have made a big mistake in ditching the Georgie petal. If this is true, and I hope for Cheryl’s sake it is, then I hope someone has a word in her ear about her previous X Factor wardrobe. Because, let’s be totally honest, it was dire. The girl who looked completely fabulous during Cannes in a range of showstopping gowns,…

Kate dazzles at the Derby.
Be still my beating heart. The Duchess of Cambridge made an appearance at the Epsom Derby today, and to say she looked good would be the understatement of the year. She looked absolutely dazzling! The jury is still out on the designer of her immaculate chic outfit, and whether it was a designer number or a High Street find (the jacket may be from Joseph), but what I do know is that the off-white dress and jacket looked absolutely amazing against her Seychelles suntan. Teamed with classic nude accessories, including a tiny clutch bag, and a gloriously neat 1930s style fascinator, this was a super-stylish choice and one of my…
