Rihanna’s hot label – Boy London, available at Selfridges
She is probably the hottest star in the world at the moment, so when Rihanna choses to wear a label for her appearance on the Jonathan Ross show, there can be no surprise when that same label posts a 45% rise in orders over the weekend alone. The label in question is the iconic Boy London. I love this label so much because it reminds me of being a little girl who idolised a totally gorgeous Madonna, who often wore the label in the 1980s. The label was famous for the eagle logo t-shirt that was much-loved and much copied during that period. And now Rihanna has shown it to…

Style Icons of the month February – Rihanna and Adele
This is the first month where I’ve felt the need to add an ‘s’ to Icon, because this month was dominated by two ladies who require no surname, Adele and Rihanna. Other than the lack of surnames, these ladies don’t really have that much in common musically or stylewise, but they do have the knack of turning all eyes towards them when they walk the red carpet. And each has been rocking some seriously retro style this month, with Rihanna channelling Studio 54 glamour with a touch of Michelle Pfeiffer circa Scarface, whilst Adele shows she is the natural descendant of 1940s era Rita Hayworth with soft waves and shimmering…

Superdrug S/S press day – A feast of amazing beauty bargains
I was lucky enough to be invited to the recent Superdrug press day. This was held in the beautiful Haymarket Hotel in the heart of London on what turned out to be a glorious early Spring day (even though it was still February, I think 17 degrees constitutes Spring!). This was a fantastic event that was dedicated to showcasing all that is new in cosmetics, skincare and tanning products at Superdrug this summer, and frankly showed that looking amazing shouldn’t mean taking out a bank loan! Here are some of the highlights from the day Luxury skincare brand Elemis will be launching their range of products for younger skin in…

Get the High Street version of Key Designer looks
We can’t all afford to wear designer clothing. We may love the Victoria Beckham dress, but without Victoria Beckham’s clothing budget it’s not going to be appearing in our wardrobe any time soon. But, fear not, the trusty High Street seems to always come up trumps with some pretty impressive designer inspired pieces. These won’t break the bank, but will leave you looking a million dollars. So next time you watch that catwalk show with a mixture of lust and envy, maybe it’s time you took another look at what the High Street, or even the supermarket has to offer. The Victoria by Victoria Beckham look at George Prada Pleats…

Rock chick style from the NME awards
The NME awards are one of the most important nights on the rock chick’s calendar. The usual suspects of Kate Moss, Alexa Chung and Pixie Geldof will never miss this night of rock and roll debauchery, and in terms of style, the only thing guaranteed is that you will see lots of gothic black. That doesn’t mean you won’t see some highly covetable outfits. Here are some of the key looks from the night. Alexa wore this very pretty black mesh effect dress from Valentino, that was perfect in that it was girlie, but with the black mesh it still had an edge to it. However, with her hair the…
