The NTA’s – The best looks
The National television awards are always a feast of fashion, some good and some very, very bad. This year there were actually some really gorgeous looks on the red carpet that oozed style, sophistication and enough full on glamour that would mean they wouldn’t look out of place on a Hollywood red carpet. Here are the looks that I loved. Tess Daly in Issa Get the look Also available in a petite version. Click here to view. Blue is most definitely the colour this season
If you want to update your wardrobe in the simplest way possible this season, add a touch of blue. Blue is most definitely the colour to be seen in, in any of the many shades of blue. From the azure sea shades, to the deepest of midnight blue, to royal blues and turquoise, all the shades are covered and styled, in so many different shades. The celebrities are wearing it so well at the moment and offering divine fashion inspiration. Model of the moment Cara Delevingne shows that bronze is the perfect colour to clash with your cornflower blue shades. Lana Del Rey should be singing her rendition of ‘Blue…

Graduate fashion week and Barbara Hulanicki – A George update
It’s all happening at Asda at the moment. George, which is the sponsor of Graduate Fashion Week, has just unveiled the first collection from the winner of the top prize in 2012, Chloe Jones, and it is all about wearable jersey in 50 shades of grey. Inspired by urban trends, but using totally wearable fabrics, Chloe, a student from Bath Spa University, has created a collection that has an element of cool, but will actually appeal to all ages. The tie waisted tunic and dipped edged jacket look set to be very popular, using grey and charcoal as a versatile alternative to black. Sadie Robson, head of design at George…

Rupert Sanderson at Spartoo
Be still my beating heart! That genius of shoe design, Rupert Sanderson, is now at my fave online shoe retailer, Spartoo, and I must admit that I am so excited. The man who combines the best of Italian craftsmanship with his own unique, and often avant-garde design is one of my favourite designers. And with awards such as the British Fashion Councils Accessory Designer of the year and Elle’s Style Award for best accessory designer, this is clearly a man who understands that an outfit often stands and falls on the ability to choose the right footwear. Spartoo is currently playing host to a whole range of Rupert’s amazing shoes,…

Strictly Come Dancing Live at NIA, Birmingham
Last night ,I attended Strictly Come Dancing Live at the NIA, Birmingham, and what a fabulous spectacle it was. Glamorous, sparkling and oh so entertaining, it was a show that made you laugh out loud one minute, and swoon in awe and wonder the next. I absolutely loved it! The Live show is different from the television series. Kate Thornton takes over the Bruce and Tess role and brings sass, sarcasm and wit to the role, not to mention the fact that I had serious dress envy at her wonderful Marios Schwab dress. (I have to thank Kate for tweeting to confirm my suspicions about the designer of the dress…
