Selfridges Summer Beauty
Every year, Selfridges Birmingham hosts a hot ticket Summer Beauty event. The year’s event took place on Thursday night, with a theme of Summer holidays and was, as always, simply fabulous. I popped along to the event to enjoy the treats, chat to the brand representatives, and meet up with some of Brum’s lovely bloggers. To tie into the summer theme, there were summery treats on offer. Popcorn and candy floss on traditional carts attracted long queues, whilst the ‘Snow Cones’ – crushed ice, flavoured syrups and vodka, were both addictive and totally delicious. On May 9th Oxfam and Marks and Spencer are joining together to get you ‘Shwopping’, hosting a fantastic one day wardrobe clear out. This is a fabulous, fun event which has been designed to get us sorting out our unwanted clothing in order to donate them to help good causes. The very gorgeous Joanna Lumley is currently fronting the campaign, and is also the face of the M&S Eco and ethical project, Plan A.
