Bimuno can ease the symptons of IBS
I can speak from my own experience when I say that digestive health problems have the ability to completely blight your life. I was diagnosed with Colitis in 2006, after a period of debilitating stomach cramps, chronic diarrhea and general stomach discomfort. The diagnosis gave my illness a name and a label, but did nothing to take away the stress and worry this illness caused me, I was too frightened to eat out in case I had an attack of the killer cramps. Colitis attacks in flare-ups, so I can go through periods of time when I feel fine, but other periods are just hell for me with constant discomfort…

West Side Story is the toast of Birmingham
It is quite rightly considered to be the greatest musical of them all, and last night ‘West Side Story’ at the New Alexandra Theatre mesmerised Birmingham with a production of power and intensity. A VIP audience was treated to a performance that had it all, a standout leading man, songs that made the heart both soar and ache in equal measure, dance that combined the most thrilling aspects of ballet and salsa in exhilarating form, and a ending that was tragic, and yet hopeful. West Side Story is a theatrical experience that shocked with its modernism and violence in the late 1950s, but has a story that still resonates today,…

Getting Crafty this Easter
Spring is a wonderful time of year for fashion but for busy parents it also means Easter, and that means the school holidays. And that means two or three weeks of finding activities to keep the children entertained and happy – which is never an easy task. It’s usually okay if the weather’s decent; play in the garden, go to the park, stroll around a farm, that kind of thing. But as everyone knows, the UK weather is rarely predictable and April can be especially wet and miserable. With that in mind, it’s always advisable to have a few ideas for indoor fun. Arts and crafts are perfect to occupy…

Style Classic – Hunter Wellies
There are some things in your wardrobe that can be classified as ‘style classics’. The crisp white shirt, a beige trenchcoat, the little black dress, you can probably name a few others. And when it comes to Wellington boots, only one brand really deserves to be labelled as classic, and that has got to be Hunter. I’m not sure why Hunter Wellies have this cachet rather than other brands. British made and sturdy, these boots are the epitome of cool, being loved by everyone, from the festival going crowds wading through the mud at Glastonbury, to the country set who wear them on long, rambling walks through the English Countryside,…

Making the most of your bathroom space
In previous posts I have mentioned that this is the year of home improvements for my house. Joe is now five, and the era of drawing on the walls, bouncing toys off the floor and generally wrecking the house seems to have finally come to an end. This means that the areas of the house that had got a little shabby and in need of love can now be addressed without the worry of spending good money after bad. The first room we decided to tackle was the bathroom. We had made a start on this last year (you can read that post here) when we took part in a…
