Met Gala 2015 – My fave looks
The Met Gala 2015 will go down as one of the most memorable in recent history. The theme this year was ‘China: Through the looking glass; and this gave way to a host of plays on this theme. Unfortunately, for many fashionista’s this meant some sort of poppy display and very questionable eye make-up (I’m talking to you Kris Jenner, and frankly still shuddering at the thought nearly 24hours on.) There was also a lot of flesh on display, as Cher’s fright frocks of the 1980s were resurrected on Beyonce, JLo and Kim Kardashian – all of whom should frankly sack the stylist and put some clothes on. Fortunately, there…

A coffee lovers guide
When it comes to beverages, I have to admit I am a coffee drinker. I do love tea, but given the choice, I will always choose coffee, whether it be latte, expresso or cappuchino or plain old decaf. There is something about the aroma that is just intoxicating, and nothing wakes me up in the morning better than a strong cup of coffee. Basically my day doesn’t start until I’ve had my caffeine fix. House of Fraser are one of the key places to go if you want to get yourself a state of the art coffee machine, having a wide range that includes gorgeous machines from KitchenAid, Heston Blumenthal,…

Glamour and heritage from Scotsburn Croft
I sometimes respond to Tweets looking for bloggers to review items. It’s a great way to get in touch and to discover a new brand that may not have been on your horizon before. I recently tweeted a company called Scotsburn Croft, and I can honestly say I have fallen in love with the craftmanship and heritage of their work. This is one company you must check out if you love your accessories to have class. Scotsburn Croft was founded in the Scottish Highlands by the seriously talented Clare Ferguson. She took her inspiration from growing up in the Highlands of Scotland, an area full of beautiful landscapes, real family…

Welcome to the World Charlotte Elizabeth Diana
I spent another bank holiday weekend in Wales, but I was so excited when I woke up on Saturday morning to find that Duchess Kate had had her baby, and that we now had a little princess. Today we found out that the baby had been called Charlotte Elizabeth Diana, and I don’t think I will be the only one really pleased that the baby’s name contains a tribute to her beautiful grandmother Princess Diana. Kate left hospital fairly quickly on Saturday and looked wonderful after giving birth just that morning. Unlike the birth of George, when Kate left hospital on a gloriously sunny day, the weather was pretty chilly,…

Friday fashion focus – Yellow
When it comes to colour, there is one shade that I always move towards. Yellow is the colour of sunshine, custard, buttercups and dandelions, of pretty tea roses and Big Bird, and it is one of my favourite things. I love it in Winter when the days are short and dark, it just adds a little bit of sparkle to make everything seem a little brighter. In Spring and Summer, it just adds to the general mood lifting and frankly makes me feel a little bit happier. Celebs love yellow too. For fans of yellow, now is a great time to add a few more bright and beautiful pieces to…
