I spent last week enjoying the glorious sunshine in Mid Wales, and went along to see the latest exhibition by Artist AG Cain. ‘People, Posters, Places’ is a selection of Cain’s work that shows how his love of retro posters, travel posters and vintage signage has been used to create a brilliant collection of poster style paintings that are both an affectionate throwback to a bygone era, but also a humorous nod to some of the ridiculousness of the age. In a year of Royal Weddings, yesterday was the time for a rock and roll wedding with royalty in attendance.
