Autumn Style Preview With J5Fashion
The last few weeks have certainly lived up to the title ‘The Long Hot Summer’, but over the past few days, we have certainly seen signs that Autumn is waiting, just around the corner. The nights are already starting to draw in, just a little, whilst there have been a few chillier days that have called for a jacket or at the very least a cardigan. Autumn means many things. It means a look towards Halloween, and then Christmas. It means the start of a new school term. And it also means one of the most important months in the fashion calendar has arrived. I mean of course, September, the…

Friday Fashion: Tu Clothing At Sainsbury’s
One of the things I missed during lockdown was visiting the larger branch of supermarket. I made an effort to shop local, avoiding large supermarkets with their large queues and instead using my local farm shop and a local, but largish, branch of the Coop. But this week, with lockdown continuing to ease, I finally went back into a branch of Sainsbury’s and was able to enjoy a quick walk around the Tu Clothing section. Tu is my favourite brand of supermarket clothing, I think it is the nicest quality, the best fit and the loveliest designs, all at a pretty decent, affordable price point. Here are some of the…

Staycation Treats
2020 is the year of the staycation. With quarantine causing a problem for travel abroad, family budgets being stretched due to furlough and job losses, and the glorious weather we have had this year, more and more people are either choosing to stay in the UK, and enjoy all the coast and countryside has to offer, or are just staying at home and combining this with day trips that are a little more local. This is exactly what I have been doing this Summer, day trips to Stourport on Severn and Weston Super Mare, weekends in Blackpool and Worcester, and an upcoming week in Bournemouth. All have been enjoyable times…

Art Deco By The Sea Pt 2: Weston Super Mare
My second trip to this summer was a trip to Weston Super Mare with my boy. It was a beautifully sunny day, and we spent most of our time on the beach and on the pier, with a significant amount of time spent in the arcade trying to win bears we could buy so much cheaper. Having my boy with me meant my search for deco was restricted and almost incidental – i.e. I know Weston has a fabulous example of an Odeon Cinema, but didn’t get to see it. However, I did manage to see a couple of beautiful examples of iconic buildings, and will have to head back…
