August Outfit Post
August is, without doubt, one of my favourite months of the year. I get to spend quality time with Joe, enjoy lazyish days (as I work all through the night I might add) and then spend some time with my family in Wales. And this year, Wales actually had sunshine, which was lovely, and quite possibly a miracle!
The wardrobe choices in August reflected the weather, and, as ever, featured wardrobe faves which highlight why buying classic pieces is always a good move. The black floral dress from F&F has been making regular appearances for the past couple of years, as have my trusty 70s style Clarks tan sandals. There are also newish pieces that I seem to wear and wear – particularly the Dorothy Perkins denim skirt and the new rose gold shoes.
I have found some great Charity Shop finds this month, including the red K shoes that were just £2, and the white shift dress I wore to Chi Kitchen, which cost £4 and will be teamed with black opaque tights and t-bar shoes come Winter. I also love the unusual M&S limited collection skirt that I found in one of the Birmingham City Centre charity shops – I love all the colours in it that mean I can mix and match it with so many things.
I’m still managing to wear Summer styles at the moment due to the mini heatwave, but am guessing that, as the month draws on, I will once again be embracing layering and more cosy looks.

Good to see I’m not the only charity shop lover! Some great outfit choices here. I go to my local charity shop at least once a week to see what I can pick up – some are more successful than others, but it’s great fun.
