Fashion on a budget – 20 party pieces under £20
I read an interesting article this Summer about a woman who had been invited to a great deal of weddings. She had spent a fortune on different outfits, so much in fact that the total bill had run into thousands. The reason for this was the need to look brilliant, but also different at every wedding, especially as some of the same people would be attending each ceremony. I think it can be a little bit like that at Christmas. It is the one time of the year when you want to sparkle and shine, and also the one when the most invites tend to drop onto the mat (or inbox…

Heat Holders Welly Socks – a perfect stocking filler.
You may remember that last year I got my hubby to review some of the great thermal socks from Heat Holders. He works as a carpenter converting lofts, and during the terribly cold conditions last year, the socks proved to be a godsend, keeping his feet warm and dry even as the temperatures dropped well below zero. I must admit that I was a little bit jealous of these gorgeous, fluffy, thermal lined socks, and so I was delighted when Heat Holders sent me a pair of their ‘ultimate thermal socks’ in both the regular and Wellington boot variety. I’ve been testing the Welly socks, which have a tog rating of…

Superdry Spring/Summer Press Day
The Superdry Superstore on Regent Street is certainly one that lives up to the name ‘Super’. It is a palace of a store, and certainly the perfect venue for a press event, with more than enough space to show new collections to great advantage. On Thursday that is just what happened, when Superdry introduced the collections that have us thinking again to sunnier times. This was a collection that will certainly convert those that think that Superdry is all about jeans and clunky boots. There was just so much to admire. I loved the ‘Mod’ style tailored jackets, with military style gold buttons, and flashes of colour. English heritage was represented…
