The most glamorous night in the TV calendar is undoubtedly the BAFTA awards. The beautiful stars of the small screen all put on their finery as they battle to win the awards that really matter (sorry TV Quick and Soap Awards but you know I’m telling the truth). Baftas fabulous fashion – How to get the look.
The bright and beautiful of Hollywood took a trip across the pond for the BAFTAS on Sunday evening, bringing some pretty serious fashion statements with them. Michelle Williams, Jessica Chastain, Meryl Streep and (swoon! swoon!) George Clooney all took a trip down the red carpet, being accosted by a Louis Vuitton clad Miss Piggy on route. There was also a strong showing from the Brit contingent, with Emilia Fox, Tilda Swinton and honorary Brit Gillian Anderson shining on a rather cold winters night. Kate the Great…and for once I don’t mean Middleton!
According to all reports, this week has seen the double Oscar-winning actress Kate Winslet turning into a super hero. Kate was a guest at the Necker home of Richard Branson when fire broke out following a tropical storm. Kate helped to clear the house of all the people present, and apparently helped save Richard Branson’s ninety-year old mother. I frankly adore Kate. She’s an amazing, luminous actress with talent in spades. She’s beautiful, but in a natural, rather than over glossed way. And I totally adore her personal style.
