Happy 40th Birthday Browns Bar and Brasserie
Browns Bar and Brasserie has been celebrating its 40th birthday this year, with a series of stylish parties taking place at branches all over the country. I was lucky enough to join in the celebrations after receiving an invitation to the Birmingham restaurant’s party, and I had a truly wonderful night. This photo of Browns Bar & Brasserie is courtesy of TripAdvisor I was lucky enough to have been invited to the opening of Browns Birmingham a couple of years ago, and became a fan of the restaurant then. Afternoon tea at Hotel La Tour
An invitation to sample the latest delights of the Hotel La Tour Best of British Afternoon tea menu is one that simply cannot be refused. So, last Tuesday, taking my mom along as a special treat, I paid a visit to what is fast becoming the destination in Birmingham for ladies who lunch in style. We were there to sample…

Birmingham’s Beautiful Great Western Arcade is the new home of the boutique, which has seen some designers returning, and has…

When I was a little girl, West Bromwich was a shopping experience I used to love. Lots of top name stores, two shopping centres (ultra modern with a water featured that flowed from the ceiling), and with a general buzz you find in popular shopping destinations. But in recent years the towns shopping centre’s have begun to look their age, many big names have left the town, and, to be honest, the town has struggled to compete with Big Brother Birmingham and the bright and shining Bullring. But I think all that is truly going to change with the opening, last weekend, of New Square, the Midlands hottest new shopping…

Do you remember how shoes used to be? Before the endless parade of platform heels, ultra wedges and flatforms? When shoes were a work of art, created by hand, in the softest of leather? Well, a new shoe boutique has opened in Birmingham’s most beautiful shopping arcade, and is turning the clock back in terms of shoe design. Ladies and gentleman, let me introduce you to Agnes and Norman, now open in Great Western Arcade. The boutique is the first to be opened by award winning Birmingham designer Rachel Simpson. It is split into three showrooms, with a focus on classically beautiful, vintage style ladieswear, menswear that are classic and…
