Ted Baker’s amazing new men’s accessories at Selfridges
Whilst the ladies were enjoying the gigantic shopping experience that is Style Birmingham, Selfridges made sure that the menfolk were not neglected with a very special launch of the ‘Ted Baker workshop’ department. This was the sort of event which should really be ‘Only men allowed’, but I popped along a little earlier for a sneaky preview of what sort of treats were going to be on offer that afternoon, and let’s just say that this event would appeal to even those men who profess to really hating shopping! Ted Baker accessories have been something pretty special in recent seasons, I totally adore the shiny brights of Ted’s ‘sweet shoppe’…

‘Enchanted – The Show’ at The Bullring
I took my front row seat last Saturday to watch Enchanted and was blown away by a very grown up fairy tale. ‘Enchanted’ was the Bullring’s major contribution to this year’s Style Birmingham, and it was a truly stunning spectacle. A baroque fairytale filled with gothic glamour and acres of brocade, sparkle and lace, ‘Enchanted’ was a truly, well, enchanting show that showcased piece after beautiful piece from the major Bullring stores. And with the gorgeous Lydia Bright presenting, and some pretty amazing hair styles enhanced by a range of eye-catching lace wigs, this proved to be a show that will stay in the mind for a long time to…

Marie Curie Charity fundraiser at LK Bennett

The event was being held to raise funds towards a the establishment of a family room at a new Midlands hospice, and Birmingham’s stylish ladies turned out in force to support the event. Glasses of Fizz and canapes helped to create a vibrant atmosphere as the guests were able to enjoy both the new collections and the great sale items from LK Bennett, whilst also buying heaps of raffle tickets that had some pretty amazing prizes, courtesy of the likes…

There were fashion shows galore all over the city, and beauty events in most of the department stores. But by far the most anticipated event for handbag lovers was the launch of the Zatchels Pop Up Shop in House of Fraser. Zatchels is one of the hottest brands around at the present time. Beloved by celebrities, these bags appeal to everyone from students to yummy mummy’s, with men also hooked on the more masculine satchel designs. I have my own Zatchels saddle bag and use it all the time, these bags are versatile, stylish…
