The perfect Place for an Autumn Picnic
Summer is the season for picnics, but the fun doesn’t have to end then. There are so many lovely places that are perfect for a leisurely few hours away from the house, and with half term holidays just around the corner, now might be a good time to choose a spot for a yummy picnic in the great outdoors. Vita Coca Kids are asking bloggers to write about their favourite picnic spots in the UK as part of a mission to keep picnicking going post Summer. They put together a fabulous picnic basket, complete with blankets, and lots of their new (and absolutely delicious ) fruit flavoured coconut water that…

Dettol Baby Blanket Campaign
Dettol has recently launched a special Baby Blanket Donation charity campaign, with the aim of highlighting the dangers of bacteria on blankets, along with the sad statistics which reveal that there is a real shortage of baby blankets available to infants born to disadvantaged families. Dettol ambassador Rachel Stevens from S Club 7 launched the campaign by donating the first blanket to the cause. The Campaign is one that will resonate with mom’s everywhere. Dettol and Rachel are encouraging mums across the UK to get involved with the campaign by donating their own babies blankets. The message is “keep the memories, not the bacteria”. Blankets can be donated by Freepost.…

The Flower Effect
I have fallen more than a little in love with a sweet film I first saw on You Tube. ‘The Flower Effect’ has been produced by an initiative of The Flower Council of Holland, Funnyhowflowersdothat.co.uk , and is designed to show that flowers can bring happiness and joy to even the most miserable of days. Lilly and Sid – fabulous clothes for cool kids
I’ve recently been introduced to a fabulous children’s brand that I want to share with you. Lilly and Sid create beautiful, quality clothing for babies and children up to the age of 7-8 years, and are currently stocked in High End stores like Harvey Nichols, House of Fraser and Harrods. Lilly and Sid sent me a lovely top for Joe to review. Now, Joe, like most 5 year olds, makes his clothes work very hard. He is constantly playing football, climbing up frames on the park, and literally doing things that leave him looking like a scruffy urchin. Joe’s clothes need to be good quality, and long-lasting. But he also…

Take a walk to school this month
Up until quite recently, my morning mommy routine was a bit of a nightmare, one that left me feeling stressed out before the day had chance to begin. It began with the alarm going off, and me banging the button in order to snooze for five (or ten) minutes. Then there would be the frantic rush around the house, looking for uniforms, doing breakfast and trying to get Joe’s hair into an acceptable state, all before leaving for school. We live almost 2 miles from our school, so the car is a must, but as I don’t drive my father-in-law comes to take us in the mornings. We always struggled…
