New Royal Baby Photo released – and Kate is wearing Seraphine.
At the stroke of midnight on the 20th August, a couple of gorgeous, much anticipated photographs were released to the public. Featuring a lovely young couple and their beautiful baby son, this could be any normal, proud family photograph. Except that this wasn’t any normal couple, and this certainly wasn’t any baby. The photograph in question of course, features the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge cradling the sleeping Prince George. Lupo the dog also has a starring role, and the celebrity photographer was non other than proud grandad Michael Middleton. It is a really lovely, natural family shot that shows how happy and proud the couple are and is sure…

Westfield Merry Hill delivers for Kids this Summer
Summer can be a very expensive time for those with young children. Parents can either find themselves in the position of paying for childcare for six weeks, or face the uneviable task of trying to keep children occupied day-in, day-out. And whilst the sunny days can be passed relatively cheaply in local parks, the damp, drizzly and rainy days can prove costly. Westfield Merry Hill Centre consulted members of their parent group, Mummy Mornings, and found that some parents spend as much as a staggering £1000 over the period of the six weeks holiday. With this in mind, the centre created a programme of free or cheap events, and I…

Back to School with BHS
With the final bank holiday of the year now in sight, and the summer almost over, all the thoughts of parents everywhere turn to getting the little ones (and bigger ones come to think of it) back to school. But, I think that we need to look closely at quality when it comes to choosing the uniform, and that is why I would overwhelmingly choose BHS when shopping for Joe, both now, and in future. BHS have…

Retail Royalty Challenge – Giving a bit back
When I was approached about taking part in the Retail Royalty challenge being run by the Money Supermarket, I was really intrigued by the premise. The idea was simple, could you use £30 to purchase something for your chosen charity to either use, or sell on? You needed to choose a charity that was close to your heart, and then decide what to get for them. I decided to support my favourite charity shop. Acorns, in Wednesbury, is a shop that I have known for a long time, my mom has managed the store for many years and I have often helped out when I have had some spare time.…

Britmums Live – My first experience
I was incredibly lucky this weekend as I was able to attend my first ever Britmums Live conference. I was fortunate in that I had sponsorship for this event from fab fashion brand Kaleidoscope, without which I could not have attended, and I am pleased to say that it was every bit as good as I thought it would be. Here are just some of the reasons why. 1. The opportunity to meet with brands and their representatives was both useful and illuminating. From Butlins to Warner Bros, by way of fashion from TK Maxx, books from Paragon and Waterstones and children’s products from Tu and Little Ones from Sainsburys.…
