Cherry Tree Farm – perfect for the Christmas Buffet
Christmas dinner is all sorted and planned, but what about all those buffets that you put on when the family comes to visit. The cold turkey is usually a mainstay of the table, but what about if you eat out at Christmas, and so don’t cook a turkey. Are there any alternatives for snacks, sandwiches and buffet tables this Christmas? The answer is an affirmative YES. Step this way and take a look at the range from Cherry Tree Farm. The prettiest Grotto in Birmingham opens at House of Fraser
The most beautiful grotto in the Midands opened today in House of Fraser, Birmingham, promising to bring magic and festive cheer to all who visit. The House of Fraser grotto is run by the Harry Moseley Charity #HHHO (Help Harry Help Others) with all proceeds from admission tickets helping to raise vital funds. We were lucky enough to be invited along on Tuesday for a preview and promptly fell in love with the whole experience. The Grotto, which features a very realistic Santa who seems fresh from Miracle on 34th Street, is preceded by a magical Christmas village display, complete with animated penguins and Reindeers. There are house frontages where…

Review – Peter Rabbit animated series books
A big success on Cbeebies this year has been the gorgeous series based on the Peter Rabbit books by Beatrix Potter. The Peter Rabbit animated series is perfect for children under 7, with wonderful characters in the form of Peter, Benjamin and Lily (amongst others) and visually stunning animation that presents Peter as the lovely, wide eyed bunny we know and love from the classic stories. This Christmas there have been a series of books released to tie in with the series, and these would make fantastic Christmas stocking fillers for youngsters. The books range from traditional stories, in both board book and paperback form, and also a range of…

Hints of pink at Ted Baker
When you think of the colours and shades that become prevalent at Christmas, you tend to think of all shades of red and green. Metallic gold and silver are also popular, with sparkle also being a pre-requisite of the festive season. With all this in mind, it is refreshing when you see something a little different on the rails, and that may be why I love the current collection from Ted Baker. Ted Baker’s latest looks are centre-staging one of my favourite colours. It is the most sugar-coated, candy, girly colour of them all. I could only be talking about pink! There are pink dresses of every description, neon pink…

This Christmas – check out a Charity Shop
As regular readers of this blog know, I am a huge fan of Charity Shops. I love the fact that you can find a bargain, sometimes brand new with tags, sometimes a vintage treasure, and that you can pick it up for very little money. I also love the fact that buying your item means that you are contributing to one of the many goodwill causes that need a little extra help at this time of year. The Salvation Army have this year been setting #MyCharityChallenge. This is to get people to think about Charity shops at Christmas – either by donating unwanted items to their local shops, or by…
