Coachella fashion – fun without the mud!
The Coachella festival kicked off the festival season this weekend, and as usual it was a feast of fantastic rock chick style. Coachella is the festival that allows fashion to fly, taking place in the Californian desert, in glorious soaring temperatures, there is no need to dig out those wellies and pac-a-macs for this festival. Denim hotpants, cute mini dresses and toe-post Havaianis are all part of the wardrobe, as are maxi dresses = safe in the knowledge you will not be swishing these through mud soaked fields. Style and Champagne – The Harvey Nichols Spring/Summer Fashion Show.
The Mailbox is Birmingham’s most exclusive shopping destination, with Harvey Nichols being arguably its crowning glory. The 1st and 2nd March saw the Harvey Nichols Spring/Summer fashion show, bringing all the glamour of New York, Milan, Paris and London to the second city. I had these thoughts in my head as I walked up the stairs, pausing dead in my tracks to admire the most fabulous dress I had ever seen. This 1920s style gold sheath is the sort of dress that tempts married women into divorce in order to get married again and WEAR THAT DRESS! “It’s Jenny Packham” I was reliably informed. I thought this would be the perfect dress for Keely Hawes to wear as Lady Agnes when ‘Upstairs, Downstairs’…
