Fashion’s Night Out in Harvey Nichols, Birmingham
Thursday saw the great and good of the Midlands, footballers, models, bloggers and celebrities descend on the luxurious Harvey Nichols store in the Mailbox, Birmingham to celebrate Vogue‘s Fashion’s Night Out, and the launch of the fabulous Autumn/Winter designer collections. The store was packed with a host of well dressed guests who were able to enjoy a pre-show champagne reception and a sneak preview of the new Land Rover Evoque, which was parked majestically on the Mailbox steps. Land Rover were the sponsors of the event, and there was a special Land Rover treat included in the special goodie bags placed under each seat. A sparkling atmosphere was in the…

BHS present a wonderful, traditional Christmas…in July!
I was lucky enough to be put on the guest list for the BHS Christmas in July press preview last week. This was a real treat for me as BHS is always one of my must visit destinations at Christmas, mainly for its fantastic array of Christmas decorations. But the press preview gave me a great glimpse of the things we will be buying from BHS in the months ahead. And I have to say, there is so much more to the collections that crackers and tinsel! In terms of decorations and trimmings, red and white are definitely the colours. BHS have gone down a traditional route, with lots…

Duchess Kate’s final Canadian looks take a cowgirl twist.
The Canadian leg of the royal tour came to an end with the Calgary stampede, which saw Duchess Kate in a white leather Stetson, cowboy boots and bootcut jeans. Dressing perfectly to fit the occasion, Kate reminded me of Elizabeth Taylor in Giant as she enjoyed the Calgary festivities. Kate wore two pretty blouses by Alice Temperley from her resort 2012 collection. The first was a pretty blue and white embroidered blouse with a real Country and Western feel to it. Kate teamed this with a pair of bootcut jeans from Goldsign – the Passion bootcut style that saw a move away from the J Brand skinnies that she seemed…

The Duchess of Cambridge – Let’s give Kate a break.
Well, it had to happen, the knives are already out in the fashion world for Kate, Duchess of Cambridge. The always immaculate Duchess is being criticised online for her choice of wardrobe for the tour of Canada. I am beginning to feel really sorry for Kate, it seems that she really can’t please all the people, all the time. When she wears the High Street she is told she should be supporting British Designers by the likes of Vogue’s Alexandra Shulman and Grazia’s Laura Craik. When she recycles outfits there are moans about wearing something new. And now she is being accused of playing it too safe and being boring!…

Kate’s amazing Canadian wardrobe…This woman really knows how to dress!
William and Kate have begun their Canadian tour in some style, with all eyes on Kate and her amazing array of outfits. There are some old favourites making a reappearance, but also some amazing new pieces with true designer credentials. These are looks that will have fashion editors salivating over the new saviour of British fashion. Here is the low down on the outfits so far. Airport chic This outfit would be sure to guarantee you an upgrade! Kate looked super smart when she left the UK to begin her Canadian Odyssey. Head to toe in navy, Kate wore a Roland Mouret ‘Manon’ dress, a blazer by Canadian brand Smythe…
