Trade Furniture Company – Amazing quality and price.
When we moved into our home in 2003, we got a cheap pine dining table and chairs which was just meant to ‘tide us over’ until we got something better. Fast forward a few years, and the table was still there, but now we also had a child, and it seemed silly to change the table that was now used not just for feeding, but for painting, plastacine and general play. But Joe is now 6 and we recently decided that it was finally time to change the room back to the purpose it was designed for – dining and entertaining. Hence complete gutting, redecoration and finally, a new dining…

Declutter your wardrobe this Autumn
I recently did a huge decluttering of my wardrobe. I always think Autumn is the perfect time to do this as I usually remove my summer clothes from my wardrobe and put them into storage bags until Spring comes around again. I then return my winter pieces to the wardrobe, whilst crying and eating copious amounts of chocolate. An Autumn homestyle wishlist
I am currently living it what seems to be a building site. My nerves are frayed, my temper is short and I could literally cry at when trying to get the work done and dealing with moving furniture, dust and plaster, and playing tea lady to workmen who never refuse a cup of tea. Autumn brings a whole host of new styles and trends that are not limited to clothing. Homewares always seem to have a fresh edge in Autumn,…

Bedroom Environment insights with Hillarys
A while ago I was asked if I would be interested in contributing to an infographic that was being produced by Hillarys blinds. The idea was that Hillarys were putting together a useful guide to a how to create a perfect Zen bedroom environment, a place that would make relaxing and getting to sleep easy. I was asked for my thoughts on how colour can affect the calm of a bedroom, and which colours in particular would be good if you were looking to create an Oasis of calm, and which would be best avoided if you wanted to avoid restless nights. You can read the whole infographic here, (click…

Have you tried Fast Keys?
The times that we live in make us more security conscious than ever. We choose ever more powerful alarms for our cars and homes and we have stronger security lighting in our gardens, porches and yards. And with many of us also choosing to work from a home office, we also have to consider the security of important documents and files. This often means some sort of filing cabinet or locked desk that we know keeps our work safe from everyone from a burglar to a toddler on a mission to destroy things. All we have to do is keep the key somewhere safe and all our needs are addressed.…
