The ever recycling Duchess of Cambridge
As an avid Duchess of Cambridge watcher, I am totally obsessed with her wardrobe. But more and more lately, I am having instances of deja vu, as Kate recycles her outfits over and over again. And I have been struck by a thought. This recycling is not just about Kate being frugal, or making that wardrobe earn its keep. This is also about everyone knowing that Kate is thrifty, everyone recognising that in this time of economic hardship, the Duchess is trying hard not to flaunt her extravagance. Kate is not the first Royal to recycle her outfits. The Queen and Princess Anne have both recycled outfits for years, the…

Kate – A right Royal Jubilee Round up
It already seems like an age away since those fabulous Jubilee celebrations, but now is the perfect time to take a look at the outfits worn by the Duchess of Style during a rather hectic week. The Queen of Style
I was asked to speak on my local Radio station,BBC Radio WM, yesterday, about our Queen. In particular, I was asked to speak about her style, her designers and her clothes. Because, although she may not be the name you immediately think of when discussing stylish royals, the Queen is undoubtedly one very stylish lady, perfectly able to set trends, and one whose 1950s wardrobe was full of the most beautiful outfits that continue to inspire today. The first really iconic dress worn by our Queen was the wedding dress she wore to her 1947 wedding to Prince Philip. Designed by Norman Hartnell, this was a stunning blend of wedding…

Thomas Sabo celebrate the Jubilee with a bit of London ‘Charm’
I am a huge fan of the German Jewellery Brand Thomas Sabo. I was so excited when they launched their Birmingham Store in November 2010 because I just adore the quirky charms they produce, which just seem the perfect gift for so many occasions. Indeed my best friend Dawn got me a charm necklace when my little boy was born which I totally cherish. Thomas Sabo charms and jewels are, frankly, the perfect gift. So it is no surprise that they have produced such a fantastic collection to help celebrate the jubilee. There are delicate pearl earrings and pendants that are topped with tiny silver crowns. Red London Routemaster bus charms…

60 Glorious years – Are you set for the Jubilee yet?
We are just over a week away from one of the major events of the Summer. Next weekend the party will be in full swing as Queen Elizabeth the 2nd gets set to celebrate 60 glorious years on the throne. Not since Queen Victoria has a monarch ruled for so long, and whether you are a fan of the royals or not, I think we all appreciate that Elizabeth has been an exemplary servant to her role. In celebration, it seems that every retailer is encouraging us to embrace the red, white and blue. This can be in the form of quirky t-shirts, pretty dresses using those most patriotic of…
