Angelica Huston – Style Icon of the New Season!
Without doubt, the most important style icon for the new season is the incomparable Angelic Huston. I first fell in love with Angelica’s style when she played Morticia Adams in the early 1990s. Her sleek Morticia was a dark goddess, with the most perfect cheekbones I had ever seen. I didn’t really know anything about Angelica, other than the fact she had been romantically involved with Jack Nicholson for many years. I knew nothing of her fashion past. Which was truly remiss of me. Because Angelica was one of the most important fashion stars of the 1970s. Shot by the likes of Bailey and Bob Richardson, her face and figure…

Kate goes to Hollywood…in Alexander McQueen
It was the night all Kate fans had been looking forward to, and the Duchess of Style didn’t disappoint. Kate looked absolutely amazing as she promoted two of British fashions biggest brands, Alexander McQueen and Jimmy Choo. Kate wore a beautiful Grecian style full length dress in lilac, with a silver white cumberband at the waistband. It had a style reminiscent of Fortuny pleats and looked very ethereal and floaty. She accessorised with stunning diamond chandelier earrings that were said to have been borrowed from The Queen, and an amazing (and high!) pair of silver Jimmy Choo vamp sandals and a matching clutch bag. In a room full of movie…

The most iconic dress in movies is up for sale!
You may wonder what dress that title is referring to. Audrey Hepburn’s black dress from ‘Breakfast at Tiffany’s’? The black dress worn by Demi Moore in ‘Indecent Proposal’? The dress Scarlett knocked together from the curtains in ‘Gone with the Wind’? The answer would be none of the above. To me, the most iconic dress in film history was a simple, white, Sunray pleated halter neck that was designed by Bill Travilla. It was worn by Marilyn Monroe in her role as ‘The Girl’ in ‘The seven-year Itch’, It is the dress that famously billowed up and revealed her panties in front of crowds of approving New Yorker’s, and one…

Style Icon of the Month – Fan Bing Bing
Fan Bing Bing is my nomination for style icon of the month after she wore a series of stunning looks at the Cannes film festival. I confess to not being that knowledgable about the lovely Chinese actress and singer, but what I do know is that every time she appears on the red carpet I gasp in astonishment. She always looks completely immaculate, perfectly groomed, and wears the most knock out outfits imaginable. This Cannes season she wore a series of beautiful looks from the likes of Oscar De La Renta, Louis Vuitton, Elie Saab and Atelier Versace. Beautiful hairstyles that mark Fan as the Queen of reinvention complimented each…
