Pick a Prom Dress You Can Wear Again
Let’s face it: a prom dress doesn’t have quite the same sentimental value as a wedding dress – you won’t “save it” for a potential daughter. Where to Wear it? A beautiful quality formal gown is not an inexpensive purchase. If you attend prom as a junior, you won’t wear it as a senior. But, if you’re going to invest a dress for what’s likely to be “the” most photographed evening of your life, you want to wear it more than once (just not at another prom, or at least, not another one at your school). Choose Wisely How can you choose a dress that you can wear again? There…

How to Find Prom Dresses that Both You and Mom Love
While Prom is often advertised as the biggest night in a teen girl’s life, it is almost a rite of passage and you don’t want to wear a dress that sends mixed messages. #OOTD – The Birmingham Awards
On Friday I had the most exciting of evenings. I was a finalist in the Birmingham Awards in the catagory of best blogger, shortlisted from literally thousands down to just five. I didn’t win, but still had the most amazing night, not least because I was dressed for the occasion by one of my favourite brands Kaliko, in a dress that I can only describe as perfect. People talk about dream…

Style Focus – Adele
I don’t mind admitting that I’m a little obsessed with Adele at the moment. Hello is an absolute belter of a song, one I keep singing in my kitchen. (Well, at least attempting to sing, I’m more Oh! hell than Adele.) She’s breaking records left, right and centre, and seems to be totally comfortable in her own skin. And, she does all that and looks totally incredible, a complete icon of beauty and style. As I said, I’m obsessed. I honestly believe that if Adele wasn’t plus size, all those titles and comments about being the most beautiful woman in the world would be directed in her direction. As it…

Gudrun Sjoden and the perfect Christmas Day Dress
Certain colours have certain connotations. Yellow seems to typify Spring – Daffodils, sunshine and all things bright and new. Autumn is all brown and bronzes, those crunchy leaves and golden sunsets. Halloween can only mean black and gothic, and Christmas is all about red – holly, advent candles and a certain man in a red suit. When I’m looking for something to wear on Christmas day, it is rare that I step away from red in some shape or form. This year, Gudrun Sjoden have created the perfect Christmas Day dress. It’s red, it’s velour, it’s stretchy for extra turkey and trimmings, and it has long sleeves. It is the…
