Happy Birthday Style Birmingham #Style50
Last week so the most glittering, glamorous party of the year in Birmingham. Style Birmingham magazine was celebrating 50 issues and 10 years with a glamorous shindig in the new Canalside venue. The champagne flowed, the music played and the food was deliciously naughty, and I was lucky enough to have an invite. So, with my sister Jodie as my plus one, I had the naughtiest, most decadent school night in quite a while. The canalside venue at The Cube looked amazing. I was lucky enough to have had a tour around the site before it was finished, and had basically struggled to see how this would be a venue,…

September Outfits Post
This week’s Friday Fashion focus is centred around the outfits that I wore in September. It’s the usual mixture of new items, charity shop and car boot finds (my Eastex jacket which I have tracked to the 1970s and am just a bit in love with at the moment) and pieces from my wardrobe that I have dug out, or seem to wear a lot. (For instance, I’m making no excuses for living in my denim skirt that I got in Spring, I really love it). Pink Clove Angila Dress Review
Pink Clove is a brand which exemplifies just how far plus size clothing has moved on in the last few years. From smock style butterfly covered tents, we now have clothes which flatter the form and the body, and celebrate curves rather than attempting to hide them. Pink Clove is totally fashion led, going up to a size 28, and using the key styles and colour trends from the current season. Pink Clove is fashion – it’s as simple as that. I was recently asked if I wanted to do a review of something from the current Pink Clove collection, and I chose the Angila Panelled Front Plunge dress, which…

Luc Belaire and Ben Eine Collaboration at Selfridges Birmingham
I love a good collaboration, and when it involves a cool street artist and a French premium wine brand, so much the better. Selfridges are currently, exclusively offering just this, with a collaboration between Luc Belaire and Ben Eine. Ben has designed a limited edition custom-made backpack as part of a Belaire gift set. Ben Eine is, without doubt, one of street-art’s most established names, and his work can be seen throughout London, where his giant, colourful letters and words adorn whole swathes of the city’s shop fronts and walls. He hit headlines when his piece ‘21st Century City’ was given as a gift by David Cameron to Barack Obama…
