On Tuesday I took part in a very special coach trip, with Caitlin and Caroline Moran and the cast of ‘Raised by Wolves’, their new television series that is coming to Channel 4 very soon. Celebrating Shaun the Sheep with Peter Lord
Peter Lord is a legend in the world of animation, one half of the team behind Aardman Animations, Peter is responsible for the likes of Shaun the Sheep, Chicken Run, and, of course Wallis and Gromit. A few years ago I was lucky enough to interview Peter when his exhibition ‘The Pirates, an adventure with Scientists’ was residing in Birmingham’s Think Tank. Lasan – A jewel in Birmingham’s food crown
It makes me totally ashamed, as a foodie, to admit that, until yesterday, I had never tried the fragrant delights of Lasan, the restaurant judged by Gordon Ramsey to be the best local restaurant in the UK. Well, it is safe to say that although this was my first visit, it will most definitely not be my last. The food, service and setting were all, quite simply, perfection. The Return of Mr Selfridge
Sunday night sees the return of the rather delectable Jeremy Piven to our screens as the huge TV hit Mr Selfridge returns for its third series. I’m a huge fan of Harry, and of the series in general, so I have to admit to rather looking forward to its welcome return. The new series will kick off in 1919, with Harry mourning his wife Rose. The real Rose died in 1918, when the First World War had not yet ended, but the series transports the death forward in time.
